I grew up on this game. I was about nine when I first played it, and to this day I still invite friends over and play on the multiplayer. I have never had so much fun in multiplayer games. Especially with Squirrel soldiers scream "I'll get you, you mother fucker!!!!" As they fire off machine guns. Or Conker breaking the fourth wall CONSTANTLY throughout the entire game. The thing that made me love it the most, was the complete freedom of speech this game had. Mocking films, cursing up a storm and saying everything but "fuck". As a kid who wasn't allowed to even watch Beavis and Butthead, this game took me into a whole new world, so to speak lol

Do you guys remember this game? And if you do, do you still play it, or do you stick to the xbox remake?

I didn't have it myself, but, when I went over to the house of a friend of mine a few years ago, he still had it on his N64, and he showed it to me. And, yes, it is one of the most hilariously awesome games I have ever seen. I fell in love with it instantly. Timeless classic.

You played that game when you were nine? lol I remember liking it but finding it too hard for me, I think I ended up using cheats to see the later cutscenes in the game. I liked the shit song and NO I wasn't a little kid when I played it, lol.

Hahahah, yeah, I was only nine. Will Be nineteen January first and the game came out in 2001. (Just a little math bonus :p)

But yeah, I didn't understand a LOT of what was in that game at that age, and over the years I learned what movies were parodied, and what some of the things (such as fellatio) means. xD

I never played the original, but I've played bits of the Xbox remake.

The beeping out of the swearing ruins it somewhat, but the humour is still present.

Look up wikipeida about the game, rather interesting what the ending was gong to be. I can't imagine what it would have been liked if they kept that ending and for a nine year old to play it...

Yeah, cause Microsoft can't handle some cussing unlike NINTENDO. Wait wut?

I never played the original but I own the xbox remake. I remember having a huge amount of difficulty on certain parts, but what can I say? I used to suck at games. I should really play it again.

Hahaha yeah I remember that game :) Awesome. I'm re-playing now that I'm older and I still find it funny, more so than before now that I understand more of the jokes

I enjoy the better graphics on the Xbox version, but as stated, the 64 version rarely bleeped out words, going so far as saying "twat" and "shit". The Xbox version even blocked out "arse" didn't it?

Right? I can still remember every secret spot for the chainsaw and katana, which pretty much ensured you invincible from heights and made you the beast up close.

The Beach was always so fucking hard if you played the French squirrels lol

Probably my favourite N64 game, got stuck forever at the haunted house stage but well worth it.

And the original multiplayer (The xbox version was a huge disappointment in comparison) was probably the best fun i ever had with my N64

Cavemen stealing dinosaur eggs ftw

Woo Hoo! We got the flag! We got the flag! Ner ner ne-ner ner!

Alright!

What's really amazing about it is that it's a singleplayer game first and foremost, with multiplayer sort of bolted on as minigames in the same way Banjo-Tooie did. And yet- it was still far better than the fully fleshed out, hardcorised online enabled multiplayer on the xbox. Sometimes simplicity really is better.

Hahahah, that never got old for me, the end round taunts.

I remember how Einstein difficulty made the A.I. so extremely smart, and made you feel so excruciatingly stupid when you can't walk out the base door without getting your head shot off.

Definitely my favourite N64 game, possibly even my favourite game ever. Everything about it was just hilarious and well done. I'd played Banjo Kazooie & Tooie before and I loved the subtle layer of sarcastic humor hidden in cute graphics and characters, and CBFD basically takes that, adds violence and massive parody to create a result that's absolutely brilliant in every possible way.

I still have mine and will never let it go. I still remember how horrified my parents were when we started playing it.

Oh and the remake crushed my soul, though the multiplayer in it wasn't bad.
