Title says it.

I was thinking about this the other day when I was reading up on random conspiracy theories for whatever reason and found myself entertained by some of the theories I was reading.

One in particular was the moon landing conspiracy that the USA was in a race with Russia, so they faked the moon landing, but when they actually went to the moon, they found alien life and hid it from the public.

I find that kind of stuff fun to believe in, even though I don't actually believe it to be true.

So, I ask you, Escapist, has this ever happened to you?

The one I find the most compelling is the theory that Human evolution was influenced by alien life.
Awesome if true, and if true one has to wonder when the aliens would come back, and how society would react.

Well I like to believe in Alien life. It's a big universe. By the numbers, it's mathmatically impossible for this to be the only life inhabited planet in existance. They probably evolved on a whole different level then we did, so they may not be the little green men or even of a solid bipedal form, or quadrapedal for that matter. I'm thinking silicon based is a possibility too. Silicon is very close to carbon in many ways, and more abundant in the other galaxies than here.

I found the link on this site, I don't remember who posted it, but that site is full of the most insane things imaginable. Come to think of it, it would be awesome if most of these things were real, but the guy writing it is obviously pulling stuff out of his ass.
