Which of the many conspiracy theories out there do you find most interesting or ridiculous?
It can be from a game although this is off-topic so real world is preferred.
Personally I've always found the whole Freemason new world order thing to be both interesting and far-fetched.

The various mythical creatures. Lock Ness Monster, Sasquatch, etc. There are almost 7 billion people on Earth. You would think someone would have definitive proof that these creatures exist if they really do.

I like the conspiracy theory that states creating a thread regarding conspiracy theories however ridiculous only empowers a conspiracy theorist resolve to convert more people to there cult.

No wait, thats not a conspiracy, thats cause and effect.

The inability for people to be able to spell on the internet...

The entire lizard people ruling the world. That is just crazy. So is the freemason thing, although I do not deny that they could have had something to do with some things in history.

cause and effect, lets stop talking about them.

And anyway, they are real.

Oh my god, I'm disgusted with myself, I can't believe I just capitalised the word "and" since it shouldn't never be capitalised.

edit: I bitched about myself getting the And grammar wrong and then I go and do that, if I was a Samurai I would perform Seppaku, but I'm not a Samurai so I shoudn't never perform Seppaku.

I've always enjoyed the Kennedy one, I received The Men Who Killed Kennedy for my birthday, including the unaired episode. Apparently Lady Bird Johnson didn't like the last one which specifically implicated Lyndon in the assassination.

However, one very sobering thought my grandfather once passed on to me about government conspiracies was this;

"Do you really think our government (USA) could keep a secret as big as the moon landing secret 40 years later? We can't even keep the identity of CIA moles secret"

Edit: Fixed it up a bit

John Keel (author of the Mothman Prophecies) laid out a "unified field theory of the supernatural" in his book The Eighth Tower, that is simultaneously fascinating in its complexity and absolutely rediculous. He postulates that the Kabba in Mecca is a hyperadvanced super-computer left behind by a race of sentient beings who lived on earth before Humans. This super-computer has always manipulated the Earth's electromagnetic waves in order to manifest supernatural phenomena, which it uses to manipulate/guide humanity to improve their computer technology because the Kabba computer realizes that it is beginning to die and wants to replace itself.

The silly things people can believe never cease to amaze.

I saw a video on Youtube once that claimed, among other things, that the Halo 3 logo was a secret illuminati symbol, an alien Hyper-railway links every part of the earth, and that there are lizard-people-run concentration camp under subway stations.

Incidentally, some days later I looked for the video again, and found that it had disappeared along with the guy's account... 0.o

My favourite conspiracy theories are the ones about the Masons, Majestic Council of 12, the Knights Templar, the Rotary Club and Greenpeace all hiding ancient arcane symbols in everyday things, such as billboards, TV advertisements, books, on money, bananas and in the sky.

A mate of mine's a big conspiracy nut. The frightening thing was when he started investing according to the news he'd heard through his conspiracy channels, he started making a killing. He's still going strong, last I heard.

Yea, the Lizard People thing is hilarious.

I love conspiracy theories but I don't take any of them seriously.

I like the really overcomplicated Illuminati theories.

I'm also really interested in real life conspiracies that are actually going on. You don't have to be paranoid to know that sinister things are going on in those Bilderberg meetings.
