Controller connection in AC3

I just started playing AC3 today and my controllers have been acting very strangely. They will continually lose connection with the Xbox, but only when I get the combat alert (That flash on screen when enemies spot you.) Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

(Also the controller will keep disconnecting throughout combat, but once it's finished it will act fine)

Replace the batteries? If that's not it, don't know what to tell you, isn't happening to me so I don't care :|

Must be a game problem, just wait for patches, nothing more you can really do on a console.

Have you tried turning off the vibration?

I would just hard-wire the controller into the console if you have the plug-n-play...battery pack...thing. honestly that's just what I do; it slaughters overall battery life but just strongly prefer wired controllers. There's just something comforting in that tangible connection for me.
