I have been wondering if i now 19 years old would be able to best the child me at videm games. i played some Alex kid and Sonic games and i think that when it comes down to the old 16bit games i have lost my touch. Things like metal sonic on sonic 2 used to be a walk in the park, but now he rocks my world. beating him without the odd save state is right out.

anyone else thought about this?

can't say the same for myself. nothing has changed in terms of patience, i reckon it must be pratice for me. the real question is could i little me who has played a few solid days of CoD beat me, i don't know. i would slaughter little liam at any fighting game around, old or new. im nothing special but he was shit at them.

Depends on the game, I used to play CoD2 religiously so I think I'd find it hard to keep up with myself on that and me now being used to CoD4 instead.

Older Sonic games my younger self could beat me in a race or something because he would know the levels off by heart, after a second run we would be on par.

younger me used to solo streets of rage with axel .... now for some reason i can't use him for shit .. i do better with adam .. and i can hardly make it past lvl 3

... i'd like to see young me create an account as awesome as mine on fallout 3 or kingdom hearts

I could definitely beat myself. I haven't stopped playing most of the games I liked as a kid, and I'm far better equipped mentally to play most of them today.

Years ago I could beat the game The Bouncer.
Now I just can't be bothered, so I'd have to say my older self could beat me easy, just because he's willing to put the time into something mindless.

I've done speed runs through games i used to play, and they were usually at least 4x faster, and i could totally beat my younger self in most multiplayer games

I could wipe the floor with youngerself at FPS. I used to hate them and now I can pin a locus baddie at max range while it's vaulting over a barricade.

Defiantly. I don't play multiplayer games much, but the ones I do play I've improved in vastly (except maybe Super Smash Bros. which caters to unthinking children vehemently smashing buttons.) I guess I became more patient and strategic in my gameplay.

Still, I feel like a slow learner compared to most of you.

Does anyone remeber the N game? was a online ninja game and you could download it a get another 100 levels. I used to pwn at that in grade 11 when i lived in a dorm. was the only game we really got away with because it was Seventh day Adventist.....ugh...but i totally owned at that game like art. tried it last week and died so many times in the lamest ways
