Could you kill somebody?

I'm pretty much a pacifist, my friend's even get surprised when I get angry.

I could never do it.

I feel like a pacifist some time, I get angered sometimes, but I still just can't see myself hurting another person, unless in a dire situation.

Ex.

Random Asshole: *punches face, brings out knife*
Me: *kicks nuts, runs away noticing knife*

I think i could, but only if the only other option is the death of myself/those i love. However, I don't think anyone really knows the answer to this question until confronted with such a situation.

If someone threatens my life or the life of a family member, their life is forfeit.
I also have an elaborate belief in the afterlife, and if someone poses real harm, I'd not hesitate to send their awareness back to the astral realm.

In a situation where my own life or the lives one or more other human beings are in danger and would continue to be unless I killed someone, then yes I would probably kill that person. How, I have no idea. I don't carry knives with me and strangulation causes convulsions which make me psychologically uneasy.

But I simply can't think that way. If someone was trying to kill me I would run, hide, or beg for my life. I just can't bring myself to kill another person, even if they are going to kill me.

To be blunt, yes. I do belive I could easily kill some one.

Its not an idea that I look foward to every day. But if push comes to shove I'd do it. Would I feel very strange? yes, very strange.

Once again you don't really know until it actually happens, in your case, scratch that everyone heres case I hope it never happens. But tell me if circumstances gave you the choice of him dead or you as much as I hate to say against your convictions, you would fight back and kill. I'm not trying to do this in a "your wrong" kind of way but I'm simply going by what I know of human nature, when pushed to the limits to survive humans really are capable of anything.

If someone I loved was in danger I would not hesitate to kill whoever I needed to, to make them safe again. It would, obviously, be much easier if I had a knife but even if I didn't I would kill them if I was given the chance.
