Since I've seen no mention of it on the Escapist, I thought I would do my part as a hyped-up fan and spread the word.

Crowfall is a new mmorpg with hints of rts and moba elements. Artcraft entertainment, the company creating Crowfall was founded by J. Todd Coleman (Creative Director of Shadowbane, Wizard 101, and Pirate 101) and Gordon Walton (Executive Producer of Ultima Online, The Sims Online, Star Wars Galaxies, and Star Wars: the Old Republic) as well as key members of the development team that brought us mmos like Everquest, Warhammer Online, DC Universe Online, and The Elder Scrolls online.

In the game you choose from one of twelve archetypes(race/class combos) and customize them accordingly, being able to balance benefits, detriments and attributes in order to determine how hungry your character gets, if they have good eyesight, or if they are as dumb as a bag of hammers. Your characters travel to many worlds playing in campaigns, which are procedurally generated maps(each with their own different ruleset) that can last weeks, months or maybe even a year in which your characters vie for control of resources and domination of the map. The game will feature destructible environments, a fealty system, and an in-depth crafting system among other things.

While the game has been in development for about two years they are looking at crowd-sourcing as a way to finish the core of the game, with a playable alpha of the game expected to be released this summer. Their site (crowfall.com/#/) has plenty of lore, concept art, and information on the gameplay to at least give you a good idea of what it is about. There is also some game play footage of its pre-alpha state in order to give you an idea that this game is already under development.
