So I got Madworld today and it got me thinking; if I lost a hand and could replace it with a cyborg hand, what would my cyborg-ness be?

So I ask you the same thing, what would your cyborg mod be?

Rules:
1. Your cyborg hand follows the laws of physics.

2. You are stuck with this cyborg limb for life, so while having a gun in your arm might be cool it could end up seeming like a wasted choice once you are living your normal life again.

3. More of an extension of 1, if your cyborg arm will either run on your bio-electricity or some sort of battery/fuel tank/solar panels. So death rays and other gas guzzling cyborg mods would either be really dangerous to use or require an external power source to be lugged around.

That said, give you your two cents.

I would have implants in my brain and eye allowing memory storage, etc and internet link. The eye would allow viewing in different spectrum's such as infra red and magnification.

These would have the least impact on a normal life, i think

Mine would basically be a normal arm with a USB memory key taped to it. I'm unambitious and unimaginative, okay?

Maybe a multi-purpose tool, like a garbage-pulverizer/screwdriver/food-dispenser/funnel. That would be pretty useful. Especially when I need my next cake fix...

Honestly, just a hand that looks as normal as possible would suit me just fine.

But if I'm feeling a little frisky I would either want to be able to Kinetically charge any object I touch. Yes I'm ripping off Gambit, but I think that would be awesome.

Im pretty sure it was Ed's right arm that was bionic.

I would go with a bionic fore arm with a USB connection uploaded with hacking software in my finger that would hook up to an implant in my brain to store the information and connect to a bionic eye, for veiwing said hacked data. The eye could also be used for veiwing different spectrums and magnifications.

I'd have like a pen-knife style thing with like corkscrews and sawblades.
Kind of like what the Apothecarys have on their arms in Warhammer 40k.

I know but I would rather have my hand of choice fleshy and tune my cyborg one so i would gain the power of ambidexterity. Sure if you guys HAVE to be so sensible all around me I will have to add to complete. I will go with a eye mod thats see's through clothes as well as zoom in,x-ray,infra,red,night vision,UV proof, UV...etc... Just as long as this mod is not visible.

The only teeny little thing is with point two...even the current non-electronic prostheses are detachable, there's not really much reason to think they are going to start making ones that could only be removed with a saw any time soon.

That said...I'd probably go with a standard hand. Sure, it's boring, but if I ever actually lost my hand it be the obvious choice.

If I was looking for something a little more wacky, I still go with hand...only this time it would be all clawed and evil looking!

Oh that's easy, BALLS OF STEEL!

I'm sorry... I couldn't help myself :<

Seriously though, probably something that would allow me to download information to my brain and access it with ease, EVE Online style, never would have to study again.

Pneumatic penis.

Id like to have some kind of bionic arm with a Swiss army knife thing going on with each finger doing something different and useful.

My cyborg arm would be basically an small closing connector-plug to my stump containing a mini-nuclear battery with a replaceable fuel cell that can last for a few years if i don't over exert the power source(i.e.: constant high powered use/death ray) this 'plug' will allow the use of multiple attachments for different uses, all made of a super strong, light, alloy. The different attachments will of course include a normal looking, though structurally superior, hand, and a death-ray small enough and inconspicuous enough to keep on my person at all times. Less notable attachments will include other variations of weapons, including a chainsaw and a dire flail & greatsword(or bastard sword) ... these would be very useful when low on power, and fine-tune work instruments, for repairing broken attachments more easily.

I think you have something here! A built in usb storage device, an lcd screen, stereo sound, mini jack for headphones and popcorn dispencer. Your very own multimedia travel pack on your arm. Also include a navagation divice and internet access.

Iwould like a built in pit-boy please!
