Recently I have noticed an increased use of the slang word dank, meaning awesome or fantastic, around town and I feel that I should warn as many people as possible about the danger of using the word dank so frivolously.

By using the word dank you are angering the once almighty creator of the word, sir Dankosaurus-Rex. The Dankosaurus-Rex is a dangerous being that will hunt you down for taking his word in vain. Try substituting some other slang into your conversation if you wish to avoid his wrath. Try using other slang such as fantasmiraclulous, Awesome-possum, or any other such popular lingo, lest you anger the Dankosaurus-Rex. Hopefully, through some minor changes to your spoken word, you can avoid an assault from the Dankosaurus-Rex.

I've never even heard of dank, and it doesn't affect me in any way. We have our own words in Finland to be currently worrying about.

Thirded, I don't think I have ever seen anyone use the word Dank except for now. Also, I don't feel old either.

Never heard of it in this context, that's for sure.

Check dank [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/dank].

Back in the 90s Dank was slang for the dark green sticky-icky-icky.
yeah, this is the only known form of the world dank i have ever heard of, and still hear it in use of in today's society as it is a known form of marijuana.

You all must remember that slang is regional. I hear it all the time in Idaho, and when I make the trek over to eastern Washington.
