http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/2012/04/17/prepare-to-sigh-the-shortfalls-of-the-dark-souls-pc-port/

The article talks about GFWL and how new areas are going to be accessed, etc., but at the very end it mentions that there won't be any plans to bring the new content to the console versions of the game.

Hey, From Software, really, I love your games, but can't you at least show me some love back? I know you made a game designed around screaming "FUCK YOU," but can't you at least have a heart in this? Please? Just for me?

Put your thoughts below. Do you badly want the new content? Do you feel you deserve it? Do you hate Dark Souls so much that you could break the disc in half? (and if you do, why are you reading this thread?)

Considering us console players are the reason Dark Souls even exists in the first place, I'd at least like the option to buy the extra content.

Seriously? Entirely new areas and the original platform for Dark Souls is getting left out to dry? This doesn't make any sense.

I wouldn't get too excited.

The interface won?t be redone, keyboard and mouse support will be minimal so gamepads are heavily recommended, and there won?t be new graphics settings. From Software producer Hidetaka Miyazaki is paraphrased as saying the game being "a straight port" was publisher Namco?s decision.
Sounds like a fairly crappy port.

Hmm... seems like I'm the only one who remembers that updated ports to other systems were once pretty common back in the day. Guilty Gear X2 got ported to PC and Xbox as Guilty Gear X2: Reload, complete with updated move lists and tweaks. Soul Calibur 2 got ported to 3 different systems with system specific characters for each.
Yes, but in those examples the systems were static, as well as the games - digital downloads weren't a "thing" really. In this day and age it shouldn't make sense for Namco Bandai/From Software to develop this thing for an entirely new platform while snubbing their original buyers on the PS3/Xbox 360. Not with the way games work nowadays.

That...annoys me.

Keeping an eye on it, of course, but seriously. Then again, as long as I can reconfigure keys, all is well, can be pretty resourceful on that.
