After seeing the trailer aired for Darkest Hour aired on almost every network I watch, I started to wonder about a few things.
First, Isn't it a taboo to show a film trailer where you actually see innocent civilians getting killed? I can't recall any action movie trailers where you actually witnessed people getting killed.
Second, what is the deal with disintegration? This has been showing up a lot in films recently. War of the Worlds, Transformers 3, Captain America, even a recent episode of the TV show Young Justice had both heroes and civilians getting disintegrated. I just think it is weird that if it was guns instead of alien laser beams this sort of thing would not be in PG-13 films. I mean does it really matter how they die? we are still watching images of people getting murdered, it just leaves a little less of a mess when it is done.
What do you all think?
Thank You,
