Which range of comics do you prefer? I personally rather Marvel because I find the plots are more interesting and the characters personalities are more realistic than say superman or flash. What is your opinion on the topic?

Marvel. The characters are more interesting. The only good thing from DC is batman and they've only recently got that right.

Marvel has Spider-Man, So, considering he's my favourite superhero, I've gotta go with Marvel.

Also, note that I don't read comics, because as Movie Bob so aptly put it...

'Comics are weird.'

Personally, I'm only into DC, but Marvel seems to be very similar. By which I mean it has lots of titles by lots of people (who also work for other companies sometimes, including DC), and alot of that is going to be complete rubbish.

Marvel and DC are too big for sweeping generalisations about the quality, really.

I'm a Marvel.
I follow multiple comic books but none of them DC. I used to follow a Batman comic but money got in the way of that continuing.

I disagree with you that the plots are more interesting and the characters personalities more realistic.
All comics book characters have their own unique stories and origins. It's what make them all interesting.

If I could, I would follow multiple DC comic books. If only I had the money.

DC. They have my favorite hero (Batman) and my favorite team (Titans).
EDIT: And my favorite series (Hellblazer).

Looking at my shelf my limited collection seems pretty evenly spit between DC (Batman and The Green Lantern) and Marvel (Wolverine/Deadpool and Spiderman). Ill give the edge to DC at the moment, but that may change when I scrape the money together to get more.

(Although Preacher kicks the ass of all of them put together)

Depends, D has much better villans in my opinio (all the bes seem to be Batman ones) but Marvel has better characters and stories.

It's a hard choice, if you include Vertigo in the choice, DC wins. As much as I love marvel, those titles it has are phenomenal. Preacher, Sandman, Hellblazer, Transmetropolitan, Ex Machina, The Invisibles, DMZ, 100 Bullets and many many more.

But if you exclude them I chose Marvel, I can't get into DC and it's continuity, I don't know where to start with all the crisis and reboots. Marvel on the other hand, while it's sliding timescale has some quirks (Vietnam becoming Afghanistan for Tony Stark), it's generally pretty fluid. The last seven years has had massive upheaval (Disassembled to Siege) in the comic world and for better or worse it's been at least interesting.

I also find their characters more human and have personality. Don't get me wrong I love a good Batman or Superman comic, but by this points they've become such big figures that I find they're diluted by so many different interpretations.

I used to think I liked Marvel more for their slightly more "anchored" characters. However apart from "Kraven's Last Hunt" all my favourite superhero stories are DC. Suicide Squad is DC, Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol is DC, Dark Knight Returns is DC. Ambush Bug is DC (Yes I like him more than Deadpool sue me). Of course my all time superhero story comic book character is a DC character too, "The Wall" Dr Amanda Waller.

DC = Batman, so that. Still, I don't read mainstream comics. At least not that often.

Ooh, good question. Kudos sanchez taco. I'm going to have to really think about this one.

While I really like the Justice League and a few of my favourite heroes and villains are DC e.g. Flash, Batman, Huntress (just in the vain hope that Sarah Lancaster will play her in a film one day with maybe her mate from Chuck Yvonne Strahovski plays Black Canary?) , I really like Marvel too. I think DC are strongger in the main characters, but for the following reason, Marvel win out... just!

I think that what sometimes puts me off DC are the Golden Age villains. I shall list a few of the worst offenders:
Beard Hunter - WTF?!
Captain Boomerang and Captain Cold - Captain is a good guys name, get with the program.
And don't get me started on Baby Face's Gang.... Mrs. Manface, Skeleton keys, Lazy Eye et al just make DC sound crass.

Has to be DC. I grew up reading Batman and Green Lantern. I always found Marvel characters were either really good or I really hated them. I hate Spiderman (Don't ask why I just always found him whiny) at the same time I really liked Doctor Strange.
So I guess I prefer DC because that's what I read when I was little and because I don't have such polar opinions on their characters.
Plus DC has the Riddler. And the Riddler is just cool. XD
