So when I went to Game to go pre-order Mass Effect 3 I put the money on a gamecard, make it easy when I went to buy it. Now I find out that they're no longer going to be able to supply Mass Effect 3, so yeh, I'm done with you unreliable motherfuckers.

Yeah they don't have a good reputation and they aren't doing so well at the moment. Try amazon, or any other online store, I'm sure they'll have a few copies kicking around.

Personally, I've not bought a game from a brick & mortar store for a couple of years now.

You might find that interesting.

This is exactly my problem, the money I was gonna buy ME3 at GAME with was on a Gift card and so now i'm done for as you can't renew it for cash or anything. So now it's effectively worthless in my pursuit for ME3.

I feel your pain.

I'm getting pretty pissed at GAME right now, I'm happy they're still stocking unknown titles like Catherine, Binary Domain and even Touch My Katamari and I won't miss many Ubisoft or EA titles but missing out on Mass Effect is something I can't do and frankly HMV can have my money, I just hope they don't seize the opportunity and raise the price

Mass Effect 3 is a EA title, thats what it comes down to they couldnt come to an agreement on credit terms. Game is probably not long for this world unless theres a buyout or something similar, which is sad since where i live there is 2 Games and 1 Gamestation (owned by Game) so those 3 stores would dissapear :(

Dude, go to Amazon. Cheaper, and better service. And yes, fuck Game. Fuck 'em with a rusty stick.

It doesn't look as if they're going to be around for too much longer so there's that. It's a shame, I never experienced the kinds of pre-owned pushing poor advice giving at my local shop.

I doubt they can even afford to fuck themselves at the moment.

I don't think they decided not to stock ME3 to spite you to be honest, it's not like it's their decision that a lot of developers think they're bastards.

The only reason I'd ever walk into any video game shop is if they have a sale or to check the pre-owned section, although in greasy shops like GAME I imagine half the discs are covered in semen. It doesn't help that the ***** that serves me in my nearest GAME is a **** too, and I mean that to the highest degree, her head may as well be a gaping vagina because she's such a ****. I'm not even gonna explain it, I'm just gonna throw it out there like the OP and hope she's reading this.

I did exactly that, now my plan is to use that trade-in money to get SSX and then trade that in for straight cash, use it to buy Mass Effect on Amazon.

Good job GAME got their SSX shipment before they burnt the EA bridge, or this plan would've failed too.

Is GAME the only game store in the UK? Why don't you guys shop somewhere else?
The Game Group is basically it for "specialist" game stores. Supermarkets, internet are the only other options there.

I miss Special Reserve.

I currently have £1.50 in gamestation credit, and £10 in Game. I'm thinking of getting Dead Rising 2 for PC with the latter. I can get... um.... a miniature GoW 3 figurine with the former... I guess.

GAME...

Ive never liked them, their range in pathetic
It's only GAME UK that aren't stocking EA titles (or Nintendo for that matter).

Over here they're fine and dandy. It would appear that the same applies to GAME Canada too.

If by "burnt the EA bridge" you mean "had no money and asked for stock for free on good faith so that they could stock ME3 and then pay EA back after they'd made sales", sure.
