It's all downloaded for me, but I needed sleep today so haven't gotten around to starting it up yet, but I will take the plunge soon. I'm pretty excited for it.

I absolutely suggest you get Yakuza 4 and 5 if you have a PS3. They are just filled with dozens, to hundreds of hours of stuff to do if you're a completionist or just want to do different stuff. It's been a long time since I played 4, so I can't remember a whole lot about the game, but in 5, the main characters have their own "side story" filled with interesting moments and brand new game play things. There's Taxi driving with passengers where you have to BE a good driver, then taxi street racing, dance battles, mountain hunting, batting cages, and the oh so "fun" time of visiting and befriending girls at hostess clubs. Then there's the less important side stuff like the arcades, mahjong, fishing, weapon crafting, and tons and tons of fighting. The Yakuza games are just jam packed with stuff to do.

I'm totally expecting to put in 100+ hours into Yakuza 0 and maybe have 40% completion of the things to do. I had nearly 200 hours in Yakuza 5 and never even cracked 50%.

Starting from the beginning might be a little too much. I think Yakuza 1 is all the way back on ps2?

Either way, Yakuza 4, and 5 too maybe, have a thing were it will go over the stories of the previous games and give you the general rundown of what's been happening across the games using cutscenes from those games, so that's one way to save yourself some time and money.

Yeah, this game looks really colorful and fun. Never played a Yakuza game but this seems like a good entry point. I got the game but haven't got time to play it yet. Looking forward to it though. :p

It is, but it's pretty darn good and the PS4 remake is being released in English this year as Yakuza Kiwami. The first is still my favourite, actually. The more modern ones are better, really, but the first one has the strongest overall story, imo, and I'm pretty nostalgic for it even though I was late to the party. So I'm pretty excited about that.

I haven't gotten this yet, I've been torn between it and RE7 but I think this might win out. A lot of what I'm hearing is suggesting it might be the series' best.

*SIGH* I've been a Yakuza fan since the first US release, and with no PS4...*SIGH*...I may have to sit this one out. Feels bad.

I finished the main story just last month on 5, and as usual, I do most the secondary stuff afterwards. I'm not even....30% yet, shit!
