So I am a huge fan of Battlefield Bad Company (and the whole series for that matter) so as soon as the BF:BC2 Demo came out, I quickly downloaded it and began to, how you say? Own many a n00b. As awesome as this was, it was extremely glitchy. When I kicked it up for a second time, I noticed a notice at the beginning that says "not retail version" and I realized, this was a massive beta test released as a demo! The only thing that was missing was the little "Bug Report" Button which begs the question, what really is the difference between a beta and a demo? I am looking forward to the Halo: Reach Beta this march not only because it is Halo: Reach but because I think that knowing that that little bug report button is going to be there and my hitting it could actually make a difference in the final product. It makes me kind of wish it was there in the BF:BC2 demo.
So the point of this thread is to...
Talk about demos and betas
Explain bugs in betas that were labeled demos (Like BF:BC2)
Talk about upcoming betas
BF:BC2 has at least these glitches
When an allied vehicle runs into you, your vision kind of originates from inside the vehicle
When someone who kills you dies into the crater near the 1st B thing, your vision falls under the map
Many tracer dart glitches
Some XP glitches
Squad invite glitches
Sometimes bullets don't penetrate walls they do at most times
TONS of grenade glitches
so on.
