Where are all the movies about Demons? And Im not talking about cartoon, Im talking about horror. Stuff like portals to hell. Doom was should have been a good example of this but they went the common way and made it a virus like every other Horror. Has anyone on here ever seen a demon movie or know of any?

You must be talking about live-action, cause I think anime has its own subgenre of this.

Constantine [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0360486/], while not very good, has a good amount of demon action. Most of everything else I can think of is exorcist type stuff, if it isn't set in fantasy, like LOTR, Willow, or Legend.

What about the Evil Dead Trilogy?
The monsters in those films are Demon/Zombie hybrids so its half right.

I would definitely count deadites. Different name, same flavor.

I find Constantine pretty good.

The only film where Keanu Reeves actually showed few emotions.

Ive seen Constantine, not exactly the greatest though, has too many boring parts closer to the end.

Agree, but the rest of them make for a good movie.

If you want a combination of science fiction and horror, look to Event Horizon. While not the world's best movie by any measure, it none the less combines genres in a quite compelling way. People rip their eyes out and everything. Much reminded me of the Reavers in Serenity/Firefly.

it's a TV show actually, but its close enough
Love that show but its not really about demons. Its more about magic in my view.

No demons there... unless you count personal demons. Good gore nonetheless, I'd recommend it.

Those are often the most terrifying. Room 101 from 1984, for example, exploited that. There is little that I find more frightening than parts of myself I don't know.

I can't stand comic remakes where they feel like they can just change important details like the fact that John Constantine is a BLONDE BRITISH GUY!!

Well there's certainly more examples of that out there I know of, rather than what the OP is looking for. And I'm pretty sure the reason is that physical demons cost more money...

Actually, another one sprung to mind recently. The Omen originals were fantastic. Genuinely scary and what not.

Well a really good trilogy i think that depicts demons and angels is The Prophecy series. Not exactly scary ass fire and brimstone kind of demons but ive always found that demons that look ordinary are a bit more unnerving.

I find it a shame that there aren't more diabloesque films out there. Most scifi movies placed in the middle ages often have more to do with with wizards and dragons, than demons. I think a really gritty, action packed horror about demons in ancient times is far overdue.
