Desert Bus Chat Problems

So the desert bus chat is freezing up my computer and my browsers and I can't get it to run right. Someone said I should use an irc client thing, (not to me specifically but to those having problems) and I downloaded a few but I don't know how they'd work.

Can someone help me with this? Either help me figure out how to use these programs or what to do to make the chat run smoothly.

Not sure how to help the chat, but I'm having trouble to get the video to work on my PS3. I know(Or at least I'm fairly certain) that the PS3 supports adobe flash, but all I get is a blank box instead of the video window.

So as long as we're covering Desert Bus issues, any ideas?

Edit: Okay, I've figured out that the Desert Bus runs on Twitch.tv, and Sony installed a blocker in the software of the browser that screws with adblockers and stuff like that. So all I need is a workaround to get the twitch.tv thing to work. I'm less hopeful now though...

I found this thread [http://loadingreadyrun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10807] on the LRR forums very helpful for getting mIRC to work; cleared up the streaming problems rather well (at least from my end ).
