Desert Island games

IMagine you will be stuck on a remote island and you can only take 3 games with you to play on a working PC (not console) on said island. (Island has internet access)

Which three games would you choose and why.

(I did a few searches and did not find any topics like this so many appologies if this is a worn out thread idea)

I would bring Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, and Mass Effect.

Hmm... Baldur's Gate II (maybe I'd actually get enough time to play it!), Unreal Tournament (the original UT, and arguably still the best), and The Secret of Monkey Island (no matter how many times I play it, the jokes never seem to get old).

If the island has internet access what is to stop you from downloading more games one you get there? Leagaly from Steam I mean.

If I were to spend a lot of time on a remote island with power but no internet I would take development tools like GIMP and Visual Studio so I could make something while there. I guess I would take a sandbox game like "Mount and Blade" or "Civilization" if I just wanted to kill time.

Off course, this sort of meta-thinking brings forth another question: What's stopping you from asking people to rescue you?

Call of Duty 4, Orange Box (or just Team Fortress), and Fallout 3, because I haven't had a chance to check that out.

I'd probably kill myself after like 2 or 3 weeks though.

Stranded 2 of course. It's the best "stuck alone on a desert island" game I've ever played. What could be better? I mean, you can build shelters, hunt for food, grow wheat, make chocolate cookies...

What do you mean missing the point?

i would use the internet connection to send out a rescue message before my food ran out (if i even had any to begin in the first place) and play these games while the rescue boat hopefully comes

Well, assuming that I can just call people to rescue me... I'd go for Rogue, STALKER, and... Stranded 2. Just for the immense quantities of irony.

I'm really not copying from Silvertounge (that misspelling really bugs me...), I had this intention when I first saw the thread. Of course, I had planned on suggesting it to you, not used it in a list, because I figured that this thread was for suggestions of good desert island games...
