Hey there guys just wondering if any of my fellow brits have Deus Ex yet that they preordered from GAME. I usually get my preorders on Thursday and as mine was shipped on Sunday I thought I would see it pop though my letter box, unfortunately this was not the case as the postman walked on by :(

Great game. Have fun :D

Well, then you can blame the britsh post for your issue, they have also delivered some of my games a day or two later.

It usually arrives a few days after release date. As most of the depo's handing out shipping stuff don't get the games until either on the day, or a day after. Then they have to process it and stuff. Y'know. Takes a while.

Pre orders normally arrive a day early but it seems for some reason GAME has shipped Deus Ex by special delivery rather than regular post. So I imagine it will arrive tomorrow. Which is a annoying since I had today off and am now working the next 5 days.

The exact same thing has happened to me.

I thought I'd get it on Wednesday or something, considering how early the dispatch email was.

oh goood, balance is so bad..every aproach other then stealth is just not worth it.
plus the graphic is preposterously outdated (probably so the whole thing can run on consoles too) and still boasts insanely long loading times.

other than that, pretty nifty game though^^

It's called artstyle.
yeah, sure.

"oh, no! the game is not lacking dynamic light effects! it's our art style! the chuggy animations and those few ugly models? unsharp low-res textures? part of the art..."

seriously though, the graphic is not what it could be with current generation hardware.

I hope no one tried to get it from Gamestop...
They only pulled OnLive coupons out of the PC copies of the game, and it's not like you're missing much by not getting to download it for free from OnLive when you've already got a hard copy in your hands.

I didn't bother to pre-order. I wasn't sure I'd like the game or not, having never played the first two games. Now I'm wishing I had pre-ordered for the goodies.

Judging by the number of no-shows on most of the pre-orders in this thread, I must be one of the lucky few. My copy turned up from Amazon by bog-standard first class post this morning. Guess I'm luckier than I thought.

Onlive doesnt allow you to download the game, they have a (free if you own the game) service that uses their hardware for streaming so you can play deus ex without gaming hardware as long as you have a good internet connection.
you could even play on your grannys slow pc because onlive does the computing, unless you used gamestop but most ppl steer clear of them anyway IF they have the choice.

I usaly baught preorders from Game, Main fact was I would get the game a day befor offical release. Except in the last year Game has stopped doing that. I now get the games on the same day as release and usaly as 2pm or worse 4pm. In which case I could just walk in to the shop and buy at 9am.

I think it might be because the Royal mail has went on strike so often they have when with speacle delivery which gets the game to you more accuratly. Instead of "Lets ship if for Thursday and if somthing goes wrong THEY WILL! Get it Release day."

Ah okay, my bad. I just assumed OnLive was another one of those digital distributors like Steam or Origin. I still don't think people are missing much, but that might just be me. They have a hard copy in their hands, so I don't personally understand the uproar about not being able to buy the game twice for the price of one. :s

I'm not a preorder kind of guy... I'm more of a "get up at 6am, get on the bus and just buy the damn thing" kind of guy XD

Though i've been watching a LP of it (PC version though, so no idea what the console versions gonna look like), it looks fucking awesome

And again, fuck European release dates...
