Dexter vs Patrick Bateman Who Wins?

Basically it's a 1 vs 1 fight between Dexter Morgan from the Dexter series a Blood splatter analyst who moonlights as a serial killer killer or Patrick Bateman, a rich CEO of a company who moonlights as a serial killer (From the movie American Psycho based on the book American Psycho).

Dexter because he's good at what he does and thinks things through. Unless it's a brawl in which case Bateman's a genuine animal and has spent god knows how long in the gym so he's bound to be stronger.

As a character though Bateman's far superior. Better written, more convincing and acts as a great comment on 80s American Yuppie culture. Dexter on the other hand doesn't step much beyond good solid and sometimes clever entertainment.

He wouldn't only take down Bateman, he'd wipe the floor with him afterwards. Then tie him in a garbage bag and throw him over the edge of his 'Slice of Life' boat and leave him to swim with the fishies.

You forget, Dexter would also keep a slide with Bateman's blood on it so he could relive the moment. "Good times, good times."

BTW: Is the TV series any good? I've only read the book "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" which the first season was based off of.

One of the few instances where I have both watched a show, and read the book it was based on, and realized that the original material was far less interesting than the show.

OT: Probably Dexter. Although personally the showdown I've always been waiting out for is between Miami's best serial killer, Dexter Morgan, against the team of CSI: Miami.
