I may come across as a beggar after this post.

I'm interested in buying Diablo 3, was just about to shell out the £44 on a digital copy but hesitated. I've never played any Diablo game but the youtube videos and trailers I've watched has gotten me interested.

Seeing as games rarely have demos (which I don't truly understand), I was wondering if anyone has a guest pass that they won't be using and if they want to throw it my way?

Guest passes would be nice for those of us with limited cash/conviction.

Let me first show you this video
Hopefully you can at least spend 35 pounds right?

If you lack conviction why would you even want a guest pass? you're clearly not interested and honestly the codes are better off going to someone who wants to buy the game but just wants to check it out first.

Just out of curiosity how would a guest pass change your minds when videos of gameplay haven't?

Videos can be misleading, I have brought many a game due to game play and found it lack luster. And I used conviction due to lack of a better phrase. For all I know my computer can't handle D3. And I sure as hell do wish to play the ever loving shit out of D3 but at the moment I am poor and a guest pass would cement me in the my quest to purchase the game. Finally judging by all the criticism being launched at the game why would I not attempt to try before I buy. Sure I could wait a month for the trial to go public, but why would I do that when I can get a chance at receiving a guest pass?

Indeed it has come in handy, I'm always skeptical about it though. Better safe than sorry. Also I wanna play D3

Its a good game, for what its worth, my Mrs has never played any previous diablo games and loves it. She sat down and played diablo 3 last weekend for a good 4 hours i had to drag her away from the pc by her ankles.

Hope that helps?

IMO Torchlight 2's beta blew D3 out of the water. I'd just wait for that.

IMO Torchlight 2 was so bad I regret having bought the 4-pack on Steam. But that's just my personal opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.

On topic: I bought another two copies of Diablo 3 for another two friends (one just back from the hospital and the other broke) so I've got four guest passes.

I'll hold on to two of them for now, but I'll happily give the other two to someone that wants to try out Diablo 3.

Diablo III is a mediocre game. It is fun, do not mistake me, but the entire game past nightmare is balanced around the AH. You will either buy a fair portion of your gear from the AH or be gimped in Hell. Blues items are better than golds, Unique items are practically trash to be replaced in two levels with a better blue item. The % drop rate for items is reduced when you play with friends. You only get good items from bosses ONCE (you won't get much killing them on different difficulty settings. the ONCE only thing carries over and you just get two or three blue items.)
The skill builds you need to survive in Hell and Inferno are are pretty dull. It has a very Min-Max MMOish feel there.

Barbarians in inferno are gimped. Inferno is all about kiting. Even building massive defenses as a barb, you will get ripped apart by the special monsters.

Also, I found the story disappointing. Even for an ARPG it was bad imo.

The game is fun, but it was balanced around the AH. Also, they've already started NERFING the classes. It might as well have been marketed as an MMO.

buy it if you want, but I kind of regret the $60. It is a fun game, but it isn't worth 60. 30 bucks maybe, not 60.

It's funny how it's so very personal.

I've bought the game for me and four friends, which gets it to almost 250?. And it's absolutely worth it to me.

That's why the guest passes are so great, people can actually decide for themselves, because people will always have different opinions. I still have two guest passes I'll give to anyone (one per person) that wants it.

You're absolutely right. Games are an extremely personal experience. The OP should play it first before making judgements based off of my experience.
