It is five years since Diablo, Dark Lord of Terror, was defeated in the dark recesses of the Earth beneath the town of Tristram. For a time it looked as if peace had been ensured by the actions of the lone warrior who slew the beast. But a shadow of fear has begun to cover the lands once more, and things of evil are moving in the dark places of the world once more. But the evil is not cursing a single town any longer, now it blights the whole of the land and... moves East. Always to the East. In the Rogue encampment in the once-mighty kingdom of Khanduras, a group of adventurers meet and join together, for all of them are traveling to the East. Following the one they call... the Wanderer.
So yeah, that's the storyline of this freeform RPG. It's essentially a play-by-post version of the game Diablo II. The game will involve 7 players, each playing one of the classes available in Diablo II. The classes are as follows:
The Paladin (I'll be playing him)
The Sorceress
The Barbarian
The Necromancer
The Amazon
The Druid
The Assassin
For further information on the classes, consult the Arreat Summit's page on them: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/classes/ If you're interested, please submit a character profile in the following format (my character will be the example)
Name: Amalric
Class: Paladin
Age: 25
Appearance: Amalric is a tall man with gray eyes and light brown wavy hair. His skin is not black as with most Paladins of the Zakarum order, but rather bronzed in complexion indicating he was once from the Westlands but has lived most of his life in the East. He wears his wavy brown hair cropped in a messy approximation of a Caesar cut. A long scar runs from his shoulder all the way down his back.
Weapons: A steel arming sword and a kite shield of oak overlaid with iron
Armour: Steel ringmail and partial plate over his torso, shoulders and legs.
Personality: Generally a friendly, open and congenial man. He tries to be friendly to every one and truly hates no one. He is known to quote his Knight-Master, his mentor in the Order, on this regard "I hate nobody except Diablo ? and that is professional". Though he doesn't honestly hate anyone, he can ardently dislike and quite often does. Though his ire only comes about through moralistic reasons: Amalric despises those that prey upon the weak or less fortunate, and often seeks to defend those weaker than himself. He is known for being without fear in the face of seemingly overwhelming enemies. As a Zakarum follower, he believes that holiness lies in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves.
