It felt like the whole game was setting you up for some great reveal. The Anterrans had been destroyed/gone missing. Survivors of them set up in your regular universe and call themselves, 'the new Orions'. Then you can send expeditions into Anteraan space looking for lost 'X's and if you find all of them you beat the game..
I could never finish a game. By the time I got to about the 1,200's turn my computer would run sooo slowly it took 3-6 minutes to process the next turn. Wars seemed to go on forever..
And I could never seem to find that last 'X'.
I was just curious if there was any sort of big plot reveal at the end of the game. If you found out what had happened to the Antarrens or w/e. (Anyone remember the GIANT booklet that came with that game! Like a chapter book of bad science fiction - seriously!)
