Did SpikeTVs VGA get it right?

I know that the VGAs are long gone by now but thanx to finlands distanse from anything else the information only just reached us.For me it was kinda of a disappointment, not any good world premiers. Excluding FortNite .And that idea that Skyrim would be better than Portal 2,oh dear...Also why did Zelda get into the hall of fame, i feel like they just made that up so that wouldnt have to leave Skyward Sword wihtout an award.

First of all, if you're taking anything on Spike seriously, let alone watching anything on Spike, you're doing it wrong.

Secondly, honoring Zelda and Shigeru Miyamoto is the only thing they got right.
Why honor them? Is 25 @#$%ing years of gaming excellence not good enough of a reason for you?

Not to be patronizing or anything, but really, hardly anyone takes this "event" seriously. You're better off forgetting you saw that really long commercial in the first place.

Skyrim is better than Portal 2 in my eyes. As much as I love Portal, Skyrim was a very, very well crafted game. It managed to fix most of the downfalls found in Oblivion. To be honest, this year's VGA was alright. Then again, it's the VGAs.

yeah there is nothing wrong release the same game over and over again for 25 years EA NHL style

As far as which games were given which awards, yes they didn't fine.

As far as everything else, it was pretty terrible.

When the quality of the games is a high as the Nintendo Zelda series, then Yes. There is nothing wrong with it.

Hell, Zelda spawned the entire genre. Every Action/Adventure video game since is described as "Zelda, but ..."
