When I was in the 3rd grade, I read A child called It by David Pelzer which is about his early childhood dealing with an abusive mother.
I think thats where my childhood innocence got warped into reality.
I am now a sophmore and reading it again it my English Class and al my other classmates are too getting more surrealistic.

Did this book warp my childhood?
also, Did something happen to you that changed your outlook on life early on?

I'm still a kid, at least in part, so no comment

Also, I haven't read the book in question, but I feel that my addiction to hard sci-fi might have made me more serious than most kinds when I was younger

I thought you said it was sobering? Surrealistic means abstract and unreal.

This book is wierd and very powerful (apparently). It's quite a heavy read, but it's one of those books you need to read (apparently).

That book is so sad :( it made me cry so much. I'm a huge softie!
It wasn't really a book or anything, but I realised from a young age life would fuck people like me over.

In a sense.
I'm pretty tough skinned, very smart, and very manipulative.
I realized at a certain age that I could manipulate people to get me what I wanted, and I've used that to my advantage in life.
Once I realized that, and that people will try to fuck me over all the time, I decided to take advantage of those specific people.

As a child my parents exposed me to weird stuff all the time (I listened to Frank Zappa, Tom Waits and an assortment of old and weird rock and metal bands from early on, I was encouraged to watch dark films and cartoons and I had a strong interest in the works of H.R. Geiger ever since my Dad showed me his artwork).

If I have been mind fucked as a result I'm very much glad they did it (it made me the person I am today).

Watching this video made me lose my perception of the world.

It's incredibly gory so watch with caution.

Its a senator who was about to go to jail for corruption killing himself on live TV.
I could never understand how that video would destroy perceptions. It doesn't faze me. You can see it every day, in almost every medium.

When I was a kid I knew of things such as death, murder, suicide and other things, but I also lacked knowledge of things I should of known by then.

I was a very confused person, I'm still a very confused person.

It's different when it's real, though.
