Am I the only person who found the ending for the main quest line a major disappointment.
The entire game made you out to be this all powerful person with the power to do anything. You have a "boss fight" (I found it really really easy when I finally completed it at lvl 43) where you kill the 'leader' of the dragons. The dragon at the Throat of the World then tells you (paraphrasing):
"The dragons are leaving now. See ya!" ('See ya' said in the tone of Randy in that one episode of South Park about the boy band - Fingerbang).
That moment left me very cold. So much so I haven't returned to the game. I had done just about everything major in the game (defeated the Imperials, Arch-Mage of the College, Master of the Theives Guild, completed the Companions quest line, collected all the Daedric artifacts, finished the Dark Brotherhood, and lots lots more) and the endings given there were a lot more satisfying.
I found sneak broke the game. I started as a pure destro/conjure/resto mage, but changed at lvl 20 to be more of a sneaky Mage (use sneak and illusion) which was quite fun. I then made the switch to daggers at lvl 30ish (sneak was 100, one-handed was at 23) and I was still hauling.
I also found the game was also very easy (even when the difficulty was turned up) most of the time. The parts that were difficult became a hunt for the exploit, where the fight became very easy again.
It is still a massive improvement on Oblivion, but needs more work on the storylines (Bethesda design with BioWare story would be perfect).
