I feel that many games today (xbox360) have a thing were they just feel like when you go from one difficuly to another which is near impossible? I have found my few of games like Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, also dead or alive 4, and guitar hero 3. Any other games out there?

Mass Effect goes in the other direction.

It's not as noticeable on easy and normal, but on hard and hardcore, it goes from very difficult to easy

No kidding about ME. I'm wondering if the playthrough on Insanity would have been harder without the Spectre weapons?

Atleast SOME games classify the difficulties right. Like normally Easy, Medium/Normal, Hard is now Easy, Average, Insane. Unfortunately games that classify as it Insanity can either be still really simple or like it says, insanely difficult.

I think most games have a difficulty curve which sharply changes, I don't really mind it.
In Kingdom Hearts you can choose your own difficulty curve if you can decipher the description of your adventure based on the answers to your questions.
I used to always end up with a easyish beginning, massively difficult (in comparason) mid-section and then a quite hard end section.

uh rainbow six Vegas 2 on hard, every piece of cover i found i still ended up dead.
Pf, lightweight. I'd have to say the biggest jump I made was either battlefield 2 singleplayer to multiplayer; or, when you go from normal to hard on Supreme Commander.
