In our modern-day lives, we as a species have come to be quite comfortable with how things have just always seemed to be. One of the most important things we have in this life is the ability to transfer electricity to just about wherever we want it to go. It is the very lifeblood of our society, from one point of view. We are able to use our technology to talk to others halfway around the globe, to interact and transfer information as easy as any other aspect of our daily routine. Compared to those who came before however, some might say perhaps we live a little bit too comfortably.

What if I told you there is a world beyond ours, in that very technology that we use each and every day? For each computer linked to the wide expanse that is the internet, a new part of that world is created? Despite this world being formed in this way, it mirrors mankind's own past. Everyday is a fight to survive, the strong live, and the weak die. Some might think this kind of world cannot possibly still exist, that social norms have evolved past such a harsh and perhaps barbaric state. However, that is the story that will unfold today.

It was an average day like any other for our chosen few, the small town they came from from was quiet and peaceful. This type of peace was almost textbook in its mediocrity. Everyone in this "town" knew each other for one reason or another, which was nice for some, but boring for others. Above everything else however, it was home, and that was enough. Each of the selected were of a different age, possessed a unique mindset, ones with passion and ideal goals for life, and was convinced that they had everything they could ever want. Little did they know that they would soon be brought together to save a world that they did not even know existed.

The Digital World: a brutal place, but also one possessing a quiet tranquility that grows larger and larger each day. Mysterious creatures live here known as "Digimon," or as they are also called, "digital monsters." Many different types of Digimon exist! Some are cute and fluffy, while some can be monstrous and destructive. They live there under the rule of Yggdrasill, the God-King of every pixel that makes up the Digital World. He is a kind ruler, though not many save the most powerful of Digimon ever see him. His subjects love him, and he loves them in return. There are many powerful Digimon that work directly for the King, his personal guard of Royal Knights, dragons that protect the four corners of the world, and even angelic Seraphs: personifications of the Digimon they protect, each and every one of these beings takes orders directly from their "God."

One day, the King ordered one of these groups, the Celestial Guardians: three heavenly Digimon that represent and protect humanoid, dragonoid, and bestial Digimon, to a task. This mission was to help the Digital World, but the King foresaw something terrible in its future. He knew he would need help from others to save the world he loved, but there were no other accountable Digimon he could trust with this task. He required the help of others outside the Digital World, those who could bring out the hidden potential in a select few of his subjects. Those who were destined to save his, and perhaps their own world. He needed help from humans.

We are looking for 6-7 people to start our little adventure, So please, let us know if you are interested, and to all those who want to join, Welcome again!

This will be a joint effort between me and my friend Z of the Na'vi [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Z+of+the+Na%27vi] Who will be the Co-DM in our little adventure, so if you have any questions, just go ahead and ask me or him and we will do our best to help you.

With this RP, I hope for each of us to have there own involvement in the story, no one will be left out in this RP, no one is the main character here, each and every one of us has an equal part in this, each tamer and partner will contribute to the plot to our ultimate goal, as the DM, i will do my best to involve each and every person that joins in an equal way.

Age ? 20

Brief Physical Description ? Tall, Skinny, short brown hair, likes to keep it spiked.

Brief Overview of Personality ? A generally nice guy, some would say too nice. People have taken advantage of his personality. This has never gotten him down though, there are three guiding principles he has always lived by. Never give up, everything happens for a reason, and if you never give up, you never lose. He have keep all of these values despite his shaky home life, he views that everything can get better, which keeps him going.

Brief Individual Backstory ? After losing his mother at the age of 4, he has lived with his father, who blames him for her death and takes it out on him every chance he gets. Due to living in a failing city, he has not been able to move out, which is why he puts up with his father. It still does not get him down though, he knows he has friends that are like family to him, and he will never let life get to him. The thing that always got his mind off of his shaky family life is his personal training of hand to hand combat and swordsmanship. As he trained his body, his mind was calmed and he always could focus thanks to it, no matter what, this has helped him in life. He has drew inspiration from his favorite animes and shows, seeing as his father never gave him any advice or support, he learned from these characters how to be a man, and he takes those values with him every day.

Digimon ? Dorumon

Nickname (If Applicable) ? Zero

Digivolution Line ? Dodomon-Dorimon-Dorumon-Dorugamon-Dorugreymon-Alphamon

Brief Overview of Personality ? A loner by nature Zero keeps to himself, but that does not make him cold. If he sees a helpless digimon in need, he will do everything in his power to save here lives. Though he may not interact with other digimon all that much, that does not mean he is uncaring. He does have an odd quark though, if he has a feeling about someone, he will instantly become friendly to them, no matter what. He looks forward to one day making many friends and protecting the digital world.

Brief Individual Backstory ? Being a Dorumon, this means that he is a rare breed, not many are seen in the digitial world, despite it always growing and filling with new digimon. He has traveled the digital world far and wide, looking for new and exciting mysteries to discover. He always returns to his home though, the village of the dragons, Wyvern. A Place where any digimon with Dragon DNA are welcomed after they grow form the Primary village. His friend Ryudamon lives here as well, they have always gotten along quite well, maybe due to the fact they both have gems in their foreheads, it?s hard to say, but they were drawn to each other.

Age - 21

Brief Physical Description - African American, about 5'3, with black hair in beaded braids, brown eyes, usually wears a maroon t-shirt, khakis cargo shorts, white socks & sneakers, and a silver crucifix necklace.

Brief Overview of Personality - Born to a large and loving family, Akesha was taught from a young age never to judge others for any reason, something she took to heart. A kind and caring soul, she enjoys helpinng out at homeless shelters and the like, knowing she's helping people in need. Akesha also has a strong sense of justice, and is very much aware of what people are capable of, leading to a strange dichotomy of her wanting to help people and being annoyed by them at the same time.

Brief Individual Backstory - The oldest of six children, Akesha has taken it upon herself to take care of her brothers and sisters (ranging in age from 5 to 19) when her parents-a handyman and a nurse-were too busy to. As soon as she was old enough, Akesha started working at a thrift shop to get more money to support the family. Also, she is going to college part time, planning to become a nurse (and already knows a bit about medicines and treating wounds).

Brief Overview of Personality - Falcomon is a loner by nature, a quiet 'mon who usually doesn't speak unless he feels he has something to say. When he does talk, Falcomon will speak his mind, but tends to be brutally honest, making him come off as rude. And his tendency to be snarky and sarcastic at times doesn't help this impression. He does have a good heart, someone just needs to get through to it first.

Brief Individual Backstory - Falcomon was born to a small village of bird Digimon, but never felt like he really fit in. So he left when he reached Rookie stage, never looking back. Life on his own was not as easy as he expected, so he developed a bit of a harsh personality.

Name - Travis Hodgkin

Age - 18

Brief Physical Description - Travis is Caucasian, 5' 8", has shaggy black hair, blue eyes, and an unkempt complexion. He wears a black t-shirt with large skull plastered on the front as well as faded blue jeans with slight rips at both knees complete with converse sneakers on his feet. Travis also always tries to have his heavily-used/worn (but favorite) skateboard slung across his back when not riding it.

Brief Overview of Personality - Possessing a near textbook-definition skater punk-like attitude, Travis loves nothing more than acting like a kid and doing his own thing. Travis also has no problem questioning authority and will break any rules that stand in the way of him getting what he wants. With a handful of twisted morals to keep him going each and every day, this troublemaker has a lot to learn in terms of how the world really works.

Brief Individual Backstory - Born the only son of a single mother struggling to make ends meet, Travis tends to more often than not spend his time at the local skate park. Having barely squeaked through High School but possessing no real goals other than helping out his mom with money any way he can, this teenager has started heading down a rather troubled path. Probably on account of never having a father to teach him the proper way to act from a man's point of view, Travis knows only himself and his board better than anything else. Perhaps with a little guidance, he can be shown a better way to live.

Brief Overview of Personality - Renamon has always been taught that no matter what life throws your way, to try and remain calm because a solution will always present itself. Highly intelligent, outspoken, and above all, an upholder of the laws of the land, this digital vixen seeks to correct the mistakes made by others through her own means. A perfectionist as well as perhaps a bit of a control-freak, it bothers her greatly if something isn't done right the first time. Wanting efficiency and order above most other things, Renamon will see to it that everything is in place and in functioning spirits if it's the last thing she does.

Brief Individual Backstory - Renamon comes from a village in the Digital World where rules are everything. Assigned tasks and limitations formed a rather strict and undisrupted lifestyle for its denizens, Renamon included. It was an orderly and peaceful lifestyle. Eventually however, she began to sense that there were other areas of the Digital World that lived in nothing more than disorganized settlements where its citizens were given the choice to do whatever they wanted. Granted permission from the elders of her village, Renamon was given permission to take leave from her home and seek to correct such behavior. To her, there is only that one way to live, and she will see to it others learned that as well.

Name - Dirk and Daria Pace

Age - 20

Brief Physical Description - Both Caucasian, stand 5'8 and 6'0, respectively. Dirk's facial features come across as a little scrappy, with faintly aggressive green eyes, kinked eyebrows and a feathered brown style of hair. He is dressed in a long-sleeved white shirt and black jeans with a tartan scarf wrapped around his neck. Daria's face is a little more rounded and friendly, with big eyes and a beaming smile. Her hair is mostly tied in a ponytail at the back of her head, with her bangs going roughly down to her eyebrows, but going down past her jaw on the sides of her head. She typically prefers an odd blend of anachronistic formal clothes, wearing pinstriped suit pants and matching suspenders with a white button-up shirt.

Brief Overview of Personality - Dirk and Daria are twins, though not particularly similar. Dirk, to put it simply, never really grew out of the childhood fascination with superheroes. In a world where he (and his sister) have been partnered with a fire-breathing dinosaur, he sees the potential to do a lot of good. He is, in a word, obsessed with doing as much good as possible no matter the risk to life or limb, and views himself as just perhaps a bit too much of a martyr. Daria, while a decent person at heart, isn't particularly interested in heroics, and sees more clearly the opportunity to explore a brand new world, finding untold dangers and opponents to overcome. While Dirk is very focused, Daria is a little ditzy, though on the flip side she is by far the better fighter of the two. Most importantly, the siblings are entirely devoted to each other, and will go to the ends of the earth for the sake of their twin.

Brief Individual Backstory - Dirk and Daria grew up in a very isolated environment--not on account of others, but from their own attachment to one another. They've been closer than any other relationship could bring two human beings since the day they were born, and as a result have wound up shutting out nearly everyone they've ever met. Even their parents were kept at arm's length. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to grow out of this. Both of their parents perished in an accident when they were ten years old, leaving them orphans that were shuttled nearly halfway across the country to a foster home. With nothing familiar, they clung to each other even further, growing up raised by themselves more than anyone else, and to an extent the media they were exposed to. Dirk, fascinated with the heroes of the stories he read and watched, attempted to model himself after them. Daria, on the other hand, took to the concept of adventurers and trailblazers, always seeking new experiences. Although they are odd, they have the best interests of others at heart, and attempt to behave as sch.

Digimon - Agumon

Nickname (If Applicable) - Crus

Digivolution Line - Botamon - Koromon - Agumon - Greymon - MetalGreymon (Virus) - BlackWarGreymon

Brief Overview of Personality - Crus has always been viewed oddly by others. There are certain responsibilities best left to stronger Digimon. He seems unaware of this. The name he is referred to by is derived from "crusader", and he is called a crusader for his behavior. Constantly vigilant for wrongdoing against the downtrodden and the weak, Crus views himself as their champion and fights for them, no matter the odds and no matter how brutally he is beaten for it. His entire sense of worth is taken from his ability to protect others. It is how he finds happiness. But even so, there is a darker edge to his cause. He finds himself enjoying his battles, growing more aggressive and even ferocious should he not keep his own behavior in check. This had led to a hidden fear, that he is as much of a monster as those that he fights.

Brief Individual Backstory - Crus grew up in his village as one of the weakest and smallest Digimon born in recent memory. Mocked, belittled, and even beaten for his puny size, the little Digimon grew to resent bullies, and determined that he would protect other, weak Digimon like himself. He trained, and eventually became an Agumon through his efforts. Though he became an excellent scrapper, the fact of the matter was that he was still tiny and pitifully weak. This resulted in Crus losing many more fights than he ever won. But when he did win, it was often due to a sudden change in his demeanor. An unexpected shift into more vicious behavior. Though he was respected by some for his efforts, many others still mocked him for his weakness, and others for his bizarre ideals. Still others feared him and avoided him entirely, all too aware of the rage that lurked beneath his kind exterior...

Jack:

Spoiler: Jay and Patamon

Name - Jay Asher

Age - 18

Brief Physical Description - A skinny guy, not much muscle or fat on him. Neck length, straight light brown hair. Blue eyes. Usually wears a white shit with vertical stripes in a slightly darker white. The shirt's top two buttons are usually undone, exposing a silver chain with a katana, sideways along the chain. His shirt is untucked to his dark blue jeans. Black and white converse shoes.

Brief Overview of Personality - A little shy, but not afraid of talking to people, just prefers to be on people's best side and thinks that talking to people too much could lead to him wronging someone or them not liking him. Tech Savvy and artistic in nature which he uses to work on digital art. Helpful and nice around most people but on his own, he tends to think a little too much, and judge himself harshly.

Brief Individual Backstory - From an early age, Jay has always possessed a creative mind, thinking up new worlds and realms from his imagination. It is through this that Jay started as an artist, trying to sell his artwork from the age of 14. His parents were never best pleased with him trying to do this, fearing that he would not be able to support himself throughout his life on such income, so they often urged him to study subjects that could earn him money, which is why he also knows computer skills, though he really is set on his art. Jay had a few friends at school but was never popular and was picked on for his small stature. Since then, he has been working hard on his art, sticking to a style and them of his over perception and how people view things.

Brief Overview of Personality - A very outgoing type, always on the look to see somewhere new and meet new people. Always looking towards the next big thing for himself. Loves a challenge and strives to go for it, but occasionally forgets about others when exploring, leading to almost selfish tendencies.

Brief Individual Backstory - Patamon has worked as a sort of courier for the Digital World for the longest time, delivering bits and bobs to various Digimon across the world. While he hasn't been everywhere, he's covered a large range of places where Digimon live and reside, and gotten lost on occasion and ended up where he shouldn't have been. Still, Patamon loves what he does and keeps on trucking regardless. He's met many Digimon in his travels but has never settled down with any of them long enough to call friends.

Spoiler: Richard and Coronamon

Name - Richard Greene

Age - 15

Brief Physical Description - A pale kid, who is surprisingly tall for his age, standing around 6 feet tall. With short brown hair the arches over his forehead; his dull green eyes being the only other thing of note on his face. With an open brown shirt showing a light green undershirt. His pants are a little loose with several pockets, its color matching his shirt.

Brief Overview of Personality - An introvert, Richard doesn't like crowds and feels uncomfortable when he communicates with strangers. When giving nothing to do, Richard usually gets lost in his own head, having conversations with himself as he thinks things out...sometimes the conversations manifest by him talking to himself. Whenever he thinks of something he wants to remember, he writes it down in a small notebook he keeps on person.

Brief Individual Backstory - A not-so-average teenager with a rather average upbringing, Richard was a constant source of concern for his parents. He never really did much with his siblings, let alone non-relatives, and trips to several doctors had to be made before it was proven that he was simply a "victim" of a distant personality, not afflicted with a mental disorder. Even so, Richard found himself a recurring patient of a few therapists in his hometown in an attempt to shape him into a more social person. It was one of those doctors that came up with the idea of the notebooks, as Richard had few other ways of expressing himself. That idea soon blossomed to an extent, as Richard found he had a knack for vocabulary and flowery language. Knowing his talents, he soon started to work on writing his own stories, branching across many genres. Several thick notebooks in his room are filled with his stories and concepts, but, so far, he has yet to show any of them to anyone.

Digivolution Line - Sunmon, Coronamon, Firamon, Flaremon, Apollomon

Brief Overview of Personality - In a word: energetic. Core is a stubborn digimon that hates staying still with a passion, and he always acts when he feels like it, even when others plead for caution. His past has colored him a protector, always coming to the defense of those who he believes needs him.

Brief Individual Backstory - As soon a Core came into existence, even as a little Sunmon, he spent his days wandering the digital world. He hopped from place to lace, claiming to see the sights, but always appeared to have a second motive. Eventually, after he came onto to rookie form, he wandered through a city of steel and met a Guardromon. However, they did not know each other for long, as a freak accident in the city sent a powerful creature loose to wreak havoc. In the chaos, Core and the Guardromon found themselves trapped by the unknown force. In the ensuing battle, it was clear that the pair were no match for it, and in a final gambit, the Guardromon took a last stand to give Core a moment to escape. Reluctant to leave, but knowing the sacrifice would be in vain if he stayed, Core ran. After that, he continued his wandering, only staying in a place for a while if someone needs him.

Brief Overview of Personality - Stuck in an inescapable lifestyle in a suburban nightmare, Jason is on the brink of frustration. Due to this he can be very short tempered, surly and fiery when provoked. Whenever he finds something that can hold his attention he tends to block everything else out. However when he begins to trust and respect people he can open up and become a very loyal friend.

Brief Individual Backstory - Jason has lived an ordinary suburban life up to this point. He was never academically gifted, so after struggling through school he decided not to go to college and instead become a trainee mechanic. Because of this he is very good with machinery and enjoys getting his hands dirty. Although he has a few friends, Jason focuses on tasks with much determination and blocks everything else out, thus occasionally isolating himself. His boring surburban life and dead end job has lead to a great frustration for him and so he fantasises about escaping and making a name for himself through his true passion: music.

Brief Overview of Personality - Commandramon is very self-controlled due to his training, as well as loyal and respectful of those ranked higher than him. He is trained for battle and so is used to solving his problems with it, uncertain of how to proceed with diplomatic or social situations.

Brief Individual Backstory - Drafted in to the Digimilitary early in his life, Commandramon has grown up in the strict culture surrounding it. He is meticulous and calm and has a great degree of self control. His biggest respect is to rank and will serve anyone above him loyally and with honour. He was born and bred for battle, but is uncomfortable in situations where he is an individual, preferring to hide any emotion behind the mask of his training.

As my partner in digital shenanigans stated above, this RP will do its best to feature each and every participant in their own special limelight. Brad and I have attempted to do Digimon RP's in the past with either he or I DMing, only for the experience to fall short of expectations.

Making the decision and effort to split the workload between the two of us makes for a much smoother ride, so to speak. It allows us to both enjoy ourselves as participants while at the same time bouncing ideas off one another as we create a (hopefully) enjoyable story for others to experience as well.

Name - Akesha Evans

Age - 21

Brief Physical Description - African American, about 5'3, with black hair in beaded braids, brown eyes, usually wears a maroon t-shirt, khakis cargo shorts, white socks & sneakers, and a silver crucifix necklace.

Brief Overview of Personality - Born to a large and loving family, Akesha was taught from a young age never to judge others for any reason, something she took to heart. A kind and caring soul, she enjoys helpinng out at homeless shelters and the like, knowing she's helping people in need. Akesha also has a strong sense of justice, and is very much aware of what people are capable of, leading to a strange dichotomy of her wanting to help people and being annoyed by them at the same time.

Brief Individual Backstory - The oldest of six children, Akesha has taken it upon herself to take care of her brothers and sisters (ranging in age from 5 to 19) when her parents-a handyman and a nurse-were too busy to. As soon as she was old enough, Akesha started working at a thrift shop to get more money to support the family. Also, she is going to college part time, planning to become a nurse (and already knows a bit about medicines and treating wounds).

Brief Overview of Personality - Falcomon is a loner by nature, a quiet 'mon who usually doesn't speak unless he feels he has something to say. When he does talk, Falcomon will speak his mind, but tends to be brutally honest, making him come off as rude. And his tendency to be snarky and sarcastic at times doesn't help this impression. He does have a good heart, someone just needs to get through to it first.

Brief Individual Backstory - Falcomon was born to a small village of bird Digimon, but never felt like he really fit in. So he left when he reached Rookie stage, never looking back. Life on his own was not as easy as he expected, so he developed a bit of a harsh personality.

There's nothing wrong with choosing Agumon. Being that there are multiple versions of Agumon to choose from, it wouldn't be a problem even if another player had chosen him.

I would prefer you stick to pre-existing Digimon should you choose to play with us.

However, you may mix and match Digivolution forms (within reason) if you want. They don't have to specifically be any canon line.

Brief Overview of Personality - Possessing a near textbook-definition skater punk-like attitude, Travis loves nothing more than acting like a kid and doing his own thing. Travis also has no problem questioning authority and will break any rules that stand in the way of him getting what he wants. With a handful of twisted morals to keep him going each and every day, this troublemaker has a lot to learn in terms of how the world really works.

Name - Dirk and Daria Pace

Age - 20

Brief Physical Description - Both Caucasian, stand 5'8 and 6'0, respectively. Dirk's facial features come across as a little scrappy, with faintly aggressive green eyes, kinked eyebrows and a feathered brown style of hair. He is dressed in a long-sleeved white shirt and black jeans with a tartan scarf wrapped around his neck. Daria's face is a little more rounded and friendly, with big eyes and a beaming smile. Her hair is mostly tied in a ponytail at the back of her head, with her bangs going roughly down to her eyebrows, but going down past her jaw on the sides of her head. She typically prefers an odd blend of anachronistic formal clothes, wearing pinstriped suit pants and matching suspenders with a white button-up shirt.

Brief Overview of Personality - Dirk and Daria are twins, though not particularly similar. Dirk, to put it simply, never really grew out of the childhood fascination with superheroes. In a world where he (and his sister) have been partnered with a fire-breathing dinosaur, he sees the potential to do a lot of good. He is, in a word, obsessed with doing as much good as possible no matter the risk to life or limb, and views himself as just perhaps a bit too much of a martyr. Daria, while a decent person at heart, isn't particularly interested in heroics, and sees more clearly the opportunity to explore a brand new world, finding untold dangers and opponents to overcome. While Dirk is very focused, Daria is a little ditzy, though on the flip side she is by far the better fighter of the two. Most importantly, the siblings are entirely devoted to each other, and will go to the ends of the earth for the sake of their twin.

Brief Individual Backstory - Dirk and Daria grew up in a very isolated environment--not on account of others, but from their own attachment to one another. They've been closer than any other relationship could bring two human beings since the day they were born, and as a result have wound up shutting out nearly everyone they've ever met. Even their parents were kept at arm's length. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to grow out of this. Both of their parents perished in an accident when they were ten years old, leaving them orphans that were shuttled nearly halfway across the country to a foster home. With nothing familiar, they clung to each other even further, growing up raised by themselves more than anyone else, and to an extent the media they were exposed to. Dirk, fascinated with the heroes of the stories he read and watched, attempted to model himself after them. Daria, on the other hand, took to the concept of adventurers and trailblazers, always seeking new experiences. Although they are odd, they have the best interests of others at heart, and attempt to behave as sch.

Digivolution Line - Botamon - Koromon - Agumon - Greymon - MetalGreymon (Virus) - BlackWarGreymon

Brief Overview of Personality - Crus has always been viewed oddly by others. There are certain responsibilities best left to stronger Digimon. He seems unaware of this. The name he is referred to by is derived from "crusader", and he is called a crusader for his behavior. Constantly vigilant for wrongdoing against the downtrodden and the weak, Crus views himself as their champion and fights for them, no matter the odds and no matter how brutally he is beaten for it. His entire sense of worth is taken from his ability to protect others. It is how he finds happiness. But even so, there is a darker edge to his cause. He finds himself enjoying his battles, growing more aggressive and even ferocious should he not keep his own behavior in check. This had led to a hidden fear, that he is as much of a monster as those that he fights.

Brief Individual Backstory - Crus grew up in his village as one of the weakest and smallest Digimon born in recent memory. Mocked, belittled, and even beaten for his puny size, the little Digimon grew to resent bullies, and determined that he would protect other, weak Digimon like himself. He trained, and eventually became an Agumon through his efforts. Though he became an excellent scrapper, the fact of the matter was that he was still tiny and pitifully weak. This resulted in Crus losing many more fights than he ever won. But when he did win, it was often due to a sudden change in his demeanor. An unexpected shift into more vicious behavior. Though he was respected by some for his efforts, many others still mocked him for his weakness, and others for his bizarre ideals. Still others feared him and avoided him entirely, all too aware of the rage that lurked beneath his kind exterior...
