Dirty gaming secrets?

What are some of your secrets you'd never tell antother game, OR stuff you like to do in games thats frowned upon.

For me? I have NEVER played portal or half-life 1/2 once in my life. The same goes for any of the zelda series.

Oh nad back in my WoW days beofre i realsied what a money and time consuming mosntrosity it was i liked to take my 70 orc hutner in full arena gear and camp THE SHIT out of night elves. While i loudly complained about being camped a lot and said i frowned upon it

There's nothing wrong with not playing Half-Life or Portal. If you don't like them or you're not interested then don't worry. They're not some artifact sent down by God that are perfect in every way that if not played you shall be punished at the stake.

I can't stand the Half-Life series, the graphics give me a headache so I can't play it for more than an hour at a time. What I've played, I'm not a fan of.

Seriously, if a game has character customization in it, visual customization, it gets an automatic interest point for me.

I never played Shadow of the Colossus.
I never played Half Life 1 or any of it's expansions.
I never played any of the original Zelda games like Ocarina of Time.

Its not even that, i hear alot about them and they seem interesting but ive never bothered to buy them and i feel dirty on the inside whenever people bring it up like some ex girlfriend who you knew you could have kept but never managed to say the right words

I've never played Mass Effect 1 or 2.. and it saddens me. I've just never found the opportunity. Oh and if I'm in a particularly bad mood I'll camp the shit out of CoD... but its very rare that I take my frustration out on other players like that. These days I reserve it for Bots in combat training.

One last thing; I didn't have a single problem with the absurdity of Modern Warfare 2's "Russia Invades" story. Or the snowmobile flying.

Seriously though, I don't actually have that many 'dirty' secrets. I don't play anything on the lowest difficulty if I can help it (not even stuff that's insane even on the lowest level), I've never played any games as bad as Daikatana, I don't hate most games that most people I know of like (except maybe Cod4:MW but that's probably because the hard-copy servers are all ghost towns, and Starcraft 2 but that's because I'm in the SEA region with all the Koreans who ace me every time even though I've been low-ranked Bronze this whole time), I sample games from a variety of genres and areas (even if I end up disliking them)...

...want to know something? Back before I knew any better, I liked quite a few licensed games, both proper games and browser-based ones.

Also that; it's honestly one of the biggest reasons I play littlebigplanet. Coz I can make him look like me. Then I can make the little Joshica Sackboy slap Ironman sackboy. and that is win.

Me too. I love it when a game lets me decide how I look. Saints row 2 is crazy fun for this. I think games like Persona or Pokemon could be improved if they gave us some charecter select options at least.


One of the reasons that dragon age 2 can fuck off. Can't pick my characters race anymore? Everyone calls me by an assumed surname? I guess bioware decided that the story it wanted to tell was more important than my fun.

I didn't like Half Life 2 that much; sure, it looks fairly pretty and the story is above average, but that's all it is; an above average game for me. Played it a few times, don't really feel the need to go back to it.

I thought Portal was a pile of crap and still don't get why it gets such praise.
I also spent two weeks leeching AV in WoW before TBC, so I could get some better weapons. Imagine my frustration when they got replaced after pretty much the first few quests. On that note I also bought an epic mount back when they cost around 1000g(it was a lot back then, newcomers)... the DAY before they cut the price in half.

I don't like my leeching of AV however. In fact I despise people that leech honour - but I got so damn tired of everyone else doing it that I couldn't be arsed struggling to win anymore.

Wonder how much shit I'm gonna get for not liking Portal.

Edit: Oh yeah, a pretty big secret here;
I always check trophie/achievement guides for games, but only after I've completed them.
