Disappearing Contributors

I couldn't help but notice that quite a few contributors to the Escapist disappeared over the last week, as evidenced by the multiple empty blocks in the Featured Content section. Does anyone know what happened?

A cursory glance at the forum should have told you what's going on, The Escapist closed their office in Durham, NC and consolidated to Defy's Seattle location. It seems they laid off a bunch of content providers along with most of the tech crew, basically everyone who was directly tied to the NC Location.

I like The Escapist for the forums. I used to care about the content, but unfortunately there is a lot of unfair treatment and I don't like much of what is left. Atleast Extra Credits and Jim Sterling are alive on youtube.
