Disk keeps freezing

My Kingdom Hearts disk is scratched a lot.
It freezes in the opening cut scene when you start a new game.
I wanted to know if there's anyway to fix my disk?

In the UK, certain stores (I.e, Gamestation) will re-surface your disc, right there, on the spot in their little machine, for about two pounds.

Perhaps there is a similar thing in international franchises? If not, then you may be able buy your own disc resurfacer from an appropriate website (try Google).

In the US, I think certain gamestores can retouch discs as well. I've heard gamestop can...though it may be a store to store thing vs. a franchise wide norm. There's also "disc-doctor" devices that can touch up games. Though..the results of using those are mixed. You'd honestly be best off finding a store that can touch up discs.

It depends on how bad it is, but you can usually find a scratch repair kit at an EB, Best Buy, or even a WalMart type of store. Look for the ones that look kind of like a UFO and have a hand crank to rotate the disc.

I don't know of any major stores that do resurfacing as a general policy though.

Yeah what he said^. I used one before and it made the disc look mint again.

Well i dunno if they still do it but at Video Ezy they would buff all the scratches right infront of you for about 5 bucks. It worked for one of my DVD's
