According to sources that i feel are pretty reliable Disney is confirmed to be buying Marvel entertainment for use of their characters. Although I feel Pixar could do some good work with the franchise, I have trouble seeing how Disney will enhance the marvel franchise apart from throwing it to the younger children, a suspicion which occurs from their intention to use the characters on their channels and in their theme parks.
However perhaps Disney has some big ideas for Marvel to help it grow into something even better! *cough* we can be hopeful at least. Looking at themes covered by Marvel and Disney I can see one of them losing what made them good (not that I am a massive Disney fan, but they did something right) and as its Disney in control i can see Marvel comics losing a lot of the main heroes and villains of the franchise losing their edge and becoming kid friendly.
But enough of my wall of text, anybody think something incredible will appear out of this merger?
