Okay, there are many, many, many things within games that cause in-game trouble, and it gets repeated in the same series, by the same people! I have a limited library, so what do you think is an annoying repeat in games, that the good or bad guys should change to better themselves.

My main problem is Peach. Think about it. Time after time, she gets kidnapped by Bowser, but when she is saved, or in the process of saving, she does nothing to protect herself. Game after game, you see her kidnapped, but the castle securities are never upgraded, in anyway. Same castle, same gaurds, just new band-aids on the walls. And you'll some times see her with a chance at freedome, like jumping out of a boat or cage. So why does she not take more time out of her cake baking, and more into her security dilemma. Unless...she wants to be kidnapped. Maybe we'll soon learn where bowsers children come from after all.

This is just one of the many in game habits that drive me nuts, and I know there are many more, and I WANT TO HEAR THEM!

Tin-foil hat time!

Maybe Peach just orchestrates the kidnappings because she's insecure about her relationship with Mario, and uses the kidnappings to test his love for her to make sure he still loves her. It's actually all a very elaborate scheme and bowser is one of her old college drinking buddies who helps her out every six months.

Ten years from now there'll be some Braid-like twist and it'll turn out Mario kept kidnapping Peach from Bowser's castle and forcing her to make him cake.

I have nothing against Nintendo, in fact quite the opposite, I'm just saying she's proving the blond stereotype, but this forum isn't just about her.

...I honestly thought that this was going to be a debate on whether we should paint road signs.

I'm pro.

Zelda....

I know, that was predicable, given my username, but think about it...

in just about ever Zelda game (I say "Just about" because of Spirit Tracks) some evil kidnaps her, and, even though we know she has a wide array of magic skills that can cut bone (and most likely other magic...) she never once tries to escape....

although, when you stop to think about it, she would most likely be doing this for the sake of her people...

hmmm....

I don't think Mario is even supposed to have a continuity. =p Considering they hardly ever cross reference each other.

I'm waiting for the Mario game where he says, "A screw tha ****!" and the game ends with him telling Luigi to go save her.

I feel the need to point out this video [http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6386756/peach-and-zelda-catch-up].

But I think it's one of those things you're not supposed to look into.

Have you played her game yet?
She is apparently smart and has psychic powers that are far more powerful than how mario and bowser normally are. She also has the power of wishes and star power on command...
Anytime it's bowser it's easy to see she is trying to turn him into a good guy(and it is slowly working)

In defense of Zelda, she's usualy captured by very powerful masters of dark magic, not to mention it's not even the same Zelda, each Zelda game usualy depicts a different Link and Zelda(I have a theory of time being cracked and repeating things) but with Peach, she knows it's gone to happen, she knows who's gone to kidnap her.

With Zelda, she never knows when or who's gone to do so.

Another contrast is when Zelda's kidnapped, it's more serious and dark.

When Peach is kidnapped, it's usualy set as comedic relief.

I'm so glad they're not actually like that. ._. Those two deserve to be kidnapped.

The Ganon's in some of the games are the same Ganon there are few that are not. One that can possibly be the first or reincarnations or split offs of the originals evil.
Link and Zelda are only caused by bloodline and being the chosen one. I think about 4 games have the same link.
Ocarina and majora are stuck in a branching timeloop think a circle that suddenly goes in a line for only one thing. and links awakening and the first or second link game I think. Zelda's timeline is SOOOOOO confusing.

Well, with the exclusion of Samus, Nintendo in general seems pretty content with the usual Damsel-in-distress oppressive stereotype of women. Of course, even Samus got around by first parading as a man. Of course, do to some recent cock-ups by an unmentioned party even her once valiant image is tarnished.

that's true, isn't it?

Peach's kidnappings always did appear a little to comical to me... I mean, 9 time out of 10, Mario was right there, what was stopping him from stopping Bowser?

Plus, Zelda seems much smarter and a much more capable ruler, with a lot more to deal with then Peach. And I'm not just talking evil dudes with intent on kidnapping her, either.

My theory is, some powerful magic has caused a huge crack in time, wich causes time to move forward, but people in Hyrule to have their lifes restart, but with vague memories of the past.
