Do you believe in aliens?

Today while I was getting lost in YouTube I found this video again that I had seen a few months ago now and thought I'd share it with you guys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87PRVP4EQAo

I'm sure some of you have already seen it, then again, I'm sure some of you have not.

Now I don't really want to get into big debate over whether aliens are real or not but I mean, that's some pretty weird shit going on there..

I've always been undecided on whether I think aliens are real or not, It's such a hard thing to get your head around, but I always think that with the size of the universe and everything that's in it, can we really be the only lifeforms in it?

So I just wanted to ask all the escapee's if you think aliens are real or not?
Do you think we'll ever make contact?
What the hell are the things in that video?

I know these are huge questions and if any of us truly knew the answer we wouldn't be sitting on here, I just want to know all of your thoughts on the matter.
Cheers!

Nope. Simple probability is the only "evidence" that we're not alone in the Universe. And I have a pretty broad definition of "life". But I don't believe that we're visited/guided/ruled by aliens of any kind. The "aliens" phenomenon is just a mass psychological symptom of our western society's departure from the classical organized religion.

I think they are entirely plausible. . . but that's about as far into the idea as I get, because until they affect my life, I can't bring myself to care, honestly. It's a very interesting topic, though.

I believe aliens exist, obviously, but the belief that they're anywhere nearby is kinda ridiculous.

Oh, by the way, that movie is clearly fake.

How is that movie fake?
I actually saw the Australian 7 News one on TV..

Either we're alone in a universe with billions of galaxies or life exists elsewhere, both scenarios are overwhelming.

In the existence of aliens, yes. Considering the inconceivable vastness of the universe I find it unlikely to be otherwise.

In them having had anything to do with us either past or present? No.

Aliens probably do exist. The shear size of the universe makes it near certain that they exist. On that same token the size of the universe makes it so that they would not be anywhere near us. The contact possibility also assumes that they exist at the same time we did, which give how insignificant the amount of time humans have been around for is, also not likely.

I hope aliens exist, I think it would be terribly depressing if we truely are the only form of life in the universe.

I used to add "but I doubt they've eve visited us" but then..the accounts people give about visits makes alot of sense to me, how to we treat tribes of wild animals living their lives, so far below us in the scale of things that we experiment, tag, trap and release them for research?

I believe that there is life somewhere else in the universe, whatever shape or size they may be. It's silly (To me) to think that we could be the ONLY planet with life in however many billions of planets there are out there.
However I strongly believe aliens have NEVER visited earth, and almost certainly never will in the existence of humanity.

Well I think that it's silly not to think aliens exist and that Earth is the only planet in the universe that has life.

However as far as aliens visiting earth goes I couldn't really say.

I laugh at people that are so arrogant they actually think the inhabitants of planet Earth are the only living things out there.

Also i fully support the idea that the best proof that aliens exist is that we were only visited by aliens once... back when we learned to build pyramids. After that they didn't want to come anywhere near us again and that's why none of the close planets are inhabited.

Hmm, I was shown another movie with just one encounter. That one was clearly fake. Either the OP edited his link, or Youtube likes to mess with me (usually does).

EDIT: and now that I've seen it... most are meteors, some planes, a few space debris, one is a lens reflection, another a cloud and another is just 3 damn birds (you can even see them flapping their wings). Some might even be staged fakes. Look, I spend 6 months per year on the sea. During my first voyage, while we were going through the Bermuda Triangle no less, we spotted a massive asteroid skipping the atmosphere. It lit up the night sky as if it were day, in a greenish glow. We expected it to hit the earth and thought "this is it..". It wasn't. A few days later, I spotted an UFO for a few minutes, even grabbed my camera, I was so excited. It was IT! The best sighting of all times, right in front of my bewildered eyes. Only to realize a few minutes later that, as it came near us, it was a damn seagull illuminated by our mast light. I've seen dozens of sightings since, never got excited again.

That video was kind of cool, although I could have done without the overly-dramatic music and conspiracy theory at the end. The lights were pretty =3

I try to keep an open mind. While I do not believe that aliens are visiting our planet, I don't know that they're not. I highly doubt it though. I do believe that seeing as the universe is a veeeeeeery big place, Earth can't be the only place to host more complex lifeforms other than bacteria.

If I remember right, there are 50 habitable planets within 20 lightyears of Earth (I may have those numbers backwards). If I remember right, there is one planet with life on it and three what scientists have said "Yeah, life could be or could have been there" just within our solar system. Considering we are one of 100 billion galaxies with 100 billion stars making them up, I would say it is very likely life is somewhere else out there. It is at least 4.27 lightyears away though.

There's life somewhere else in the universe. Maybe even on one of the billions of plantes circling the hundreds of millions stars in our own galaxy. We just havn't found it yet.

But UFO's? No. Saying UFO reports have escalated? That's like saying PC gaming is dying. It isn't, people seem to have a lot of misconceptions about an increase or decrease of numbers if they don't research into the actual numbers.
