Sorry if this has been done before but I am curious to know. Does the Escapist dance?.

I don't. I've done it when pressured or for a girl, but I hate it and just go through the motions. I've always thought it was bullshit. This weird "look at me" social thingy that was just a put-on. It makes sense to me when a performer does it, but not when an unprofessiona is trying to do it.

However, the other night I was at a concert and I couldn't fight the urge to move to the music.
Usually at a concert I just bounce my head a little to be polite, but this time I had to dial it back a little so that I didn't hinder other people's enjoyment.

So anyway what are your views? Do you dance at concerts? at home? In da club? In your car? With a fox? In a box?.

Edit: I'm talking about ANY kind of dancing regardless of genre.

I don't dance...ever. If a girl tryed to get me to dance, I would have more chance with her if I was ignorant and said no I can't dance.

In the shower and in my locked room with the curtains closed and no one else there. I don't really dance at concerts. Generally I manage to nab a drink from the bar at the venue and can use that as an excuse.

The last time I remember dancing in public was my friend's 18th. My ex was there and she -not unkindly mind- remarked that I was terrible at dancing. I laughed, agreed and got us both another drink.

Nope, my girlfriend often tries to make me dance. It fails miserably.
Moshpits are fun though, and I have no problem with a bit of head banging.

Very rarely at parties or discos, gotta be pretty drunk, and preasurred by a chick
At koncerts well... you could call mosh pits some sort of dancing.

When very drunk and that's about it.

I used to be able to dance well, years of no practice that or those weeks learning for prom to show off were wasted, no, that was worth it.

Not seriously, no.
I used to, when I was like eight and thought Michael Jackson was the greatest thing ever.
Apparently, I was really good at it. My mum claims to have a tape of me boogying down in front of the Billy Jean video somewhere.
Nowadays, I only really do it facetiously. Lots of hip thrusting and over the top disco-style things.
It's pretty groovy.

I'd hardly call that a dance so much as a mindless testosterone fueled ritual...

But on the other hand... *Shoves him over and lol's*
Wait here ... *Walks away*

Here we go *Turns on Korn* Fucking bring it ...

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

Sorry..I had to get that off my chest!.

OT: Well, I don't usually dance at the slightest drop of a tune but I do tend to "grove" to the music, if it's groovy enough.

Also, my dancing skills increases with the volume of alcohol consumed. Don't be surprised if you see me running about screaming "I am the best dancer in the World!!" by the time 3am rolls about.

I dance usually at clubs if I'm with friends, but I don't get too fancy, I just do the classic "Gay Dance". Moving the hips, clicking the fingers, one arm is usually above shoulder level.

At concerts I usually end up jumping up and down if it's a high-paced song, but if it's low paced I usually end up swaying slightly, maybe holding my lighter in the air sort of thing.

I can do the Michael Madsen dance from Reservoir Dogs. I even have his hair. And his general build, unfortunately.
