Do you fear death? It's a question that has been asked many times. I myself am more worried about what happens afterwards. The idea of endlessly being in the dark void of nothingness, for all eternity makes me feel unnerved. I know I'll be dead, but still..

I'm not so concerned with what happens after, but I really rather I wasn't taken before my time. It would devastate my family and I still have stuff I'd like to accomplish before I go.

Yes. I know I won't care once I'm dead, but I don't like the idea of ever being, ever again. I love sentience. I think I'd rather prefer burning in hell to the emptiness, because atleast then I'm still me. Though if that was an option, I'd probably regret it a couple of hours in.

Here's hoping science will solve the whole mortality problem before I get too old and wrinkley.

Yes, because I will always have something unfinished that I'd leave behind, be it my work, my family or the novel I've been trying to write since I came out of my mom.

I'm an Atheist and thus believe the aformentioned dark void of nothingness is all that awaits me, so I'm very much afraid of death. That isn't to say that I'm paranoid or legitimately concerned about it right now, I've got decades ahead of me after all, but if I were told that I was going to die in about a month or so I would either fall into a state of crestfallen depsondancy, or just become an utterly paranoid wreck. I fear death above all else and have no idea how to cope with it, so I don't particularly like to think about it. So the short answer is yes.

Nope, I did not think I would ever reach the age of 20 and now I expect that I will die every day.
So no death holds no fear for me it is instead something I expect it quite readily.

Death i'm not in the least bit bothered about it's the dying part that concerns me.

I can cope with going in my sleep or even going painfully if I have all my wits about me.

Can't stand the thought of going senile and leaving this mortal coil mewling like a stuck pig.

Death? No fear of that. It's the transitional process from life to death that scares the crap out of me, lol.

Way I see it, I'm alive now. Whether there's an afterlife or not, when I die, I'll be pretty much past caring as I'll be dead.

That same thing unnerves me. Although at times, I think that you just disappear. You're not going to have any mental faculties to process anything, and essentially you disappear from the world. From your own point of view as well, because that dies too.

All in all, my fear of death is pretty much under control. I'm training for the Royal Marines, after all.

I don't fear the death but how it happens. Quick and painless is my preference.

Worse than that, you'll forget what they are... yes, start screaming now...(!)

OT: Not really, no... *wistful stare into space*

I'll build on my point later...

Oh hey Davy Jones... haha

I would have to see I don't have a particular fear of death itself, for death is just another path.

We don't know what happens after you die (despite what people say), it could be anything!

I do, however, fear the pain associated with death, and the loss of what I know.

Nope. Death is most likely to come to me so suddenly that I won't see it coming, or so late in life that I'll be waiting for it eagerly.
Already at twenty years old I'm getting tired of being alive.

Nope. I fear the negative feelings that my family and close friends will fear, but that's about it. Sure, if there's a guy with a knife I'll be scared, but it won't be of death itself.
