Do you feel your state/community/school is open or narrow-minded?

The fact that we have to wear uniform should give some indication..
And it's only a superficial semblance of order. You wouldn't believe some of the shit that goes on at school..So long as we're all dressed the same, it's okay, though.

I used to go to a school like that, needless to say I'm at a different school.
However, I do still live in a narrow minded community.
They look at me with disgust when I say I'm Pastafarian while wearing my Bad Religion shirt.
And let me just say it, the people are Mormon, and through my experiences, I've found them to be the ones who are most narrow minded when it comes to religion.
Just saying.

I live in a very republican dominated area. Thats why I never say I'm democrat or they often times go into a giant discussion that I want no part of.

When you can't rebel through your clothing/image you tend to rebel through your actions, that's why I laugh at the notion of 'school uniforms' promoting 'docile little kiddies'.

As much as I'd like to say that I'm a heroic manly man, fighting for the equality of myself and others in a bigoted society... no, I live in a crap-ass town, but it's pretty tolerant.

Except for my last boss, who fired me for being atheist. That was fun.

I'm not sure how narrow minded my community is. I have lived here for 10 years, and I only know the names of two roads.

Most of my community is very narrow-minded. There are a few people that I can tell my religion to and they won't think any less of me, but only about five. A lot of my classmates are confused just by the fact that I don't eat meat, which in turn baffles me. There are Christians who don't eat meat...

One time I was having a very interesting conversation about the possibility of things like dragons being real. I put in my two cents about witches, and one kid said that they most certainly were real, but they worshiped the devil and were evil hags. I felt like punching his face in, even though there was no real proof that he was even talking about a certain religion.

I live in a very narrow minded town in northern New Jersey. Rich kids who think that if you have a house under 3 stories you're poor. Your parents make less than $100,000 a year? "I feel so bad for your broke ass." There's only spoiled, rich assholes in my town...

That is if you can consider any religion 'legitimate'.

I don't really know about my community, but at school they had a day where we could wear whatever we wanted.
Apart from "any clothing that showed your lifestyle, or black coloured clothing". I'm not sure what to think about that.

That's nothing. I had to teach my college Biology professor about Evolution DURING class.

"Some people believe in Evolution, which says that life came from the Big Bang" *head slams on desk*
