Quite a few people on here do not feel like part of their own generation.
My generation is pretty much dead to me. I can find little in common.
But I suppose that is the point. If everyone is a little bit different, then some people are completely out of place.

Every generation is full of the same people, just in different clothes.

Yeah I understand how you feel but I'm a little vexed on the topic. What defines our (or my) generation? What shapes as and helps us grow, or what's being pandered to us at the current time by the media or other social mediums? I guess by that meaning I have nothing in common with my generation and I'm quite happy with that.

It's feel not "fell". I wouldn't normally say that but it's pretty basic.

Anyway I think I would prefer to have lived in the 50's, when the jazz scene was properly under way. Fedora's and long coats were in style then.

Then again you can never truly know what living in that decade would have been like. Unless you build a time machine..[small]maybe then...[/small]

Gah! I hate these kinds of threads! "I should've been born at such and such a time" "I'd fit in better in such and such a decade"

How the fuck would you know? Just be glad you're alive and kicking now, remember

and that you can witness what your favourite dinosaur rock bands have influenced whether it be good or bad.

I feel like I would've fit in much better during the 1920's, as my moral beliefs are quite old. I would've probably been considered normal back then.

Umm what? Hang on, I'll take off my glasses and lower my I.Q. and re-read everything because it doesn't seem to make sense in or out of context.

..

..

OH! You meant "Do you feel out of place" gotcha. Ok umm.

Well, growing up I listened to nothing but The Beatles and it was good, but it's all that I knew. Then I found out they were still making music and movies besides the original Star Wars Trilogy and Help!/Hard Days Night and found most to be quite lacking, especially this one [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120185/]. But then I discovered MTV ... and also found it lacking because there were no relate-able role models for me there either, and I'll be butchered before I latch on to R&B, Hip Hop, and other mainstream forms of rap.

But then I discovered the wicked underground run by a bunch of psychotic serial killer clowns and have been one of them ever since.

So yes, I am quite detached from my generation. In fact whenever one of those Guido-douchebag cunts comes bumping up on their hydrolics I just avoid eye contact and smash in their fender as I cut them off and leave them crying on the spot.

It never hurts to be protected!
As far as I know Anon doesn't, and has never had any kind of plan to fuck with this forum, so I don't really get what you're basing this on.

Hahahahaha, yeah, you should totally go back a hundred or so years. You'd feel right at home there, what with the whole "literacy" thing just taking on! Hell, how about just fifty years, where I'm sure you'd fit right in with all the hippies who were just the intellectual equivalents of Steven Hawkin (the one without the legs, as "Frumpy Middleaged Mom" would say). Or maybe, just maybe, people nowadays all have IQs over 50, but you just want to feel smug and superior?

OT - Since there were no generations of humans that hunted dinosaurs, I'm going to have to say I'd stay here, with the pretty people who are (despite what elitists would have you think) not stupid and don't die of influenza at the age of thirty.

[Sigh]
After the bombs fall, the Escapist Faction and the Chan Faction will be the factions rivaling for Earth.
Think of them as "Brotherhood of Steel"(Escapist) and "Enclave" "Team Giant Penis"(Chan)
Fixed.

Seriously though, 4chan is a vastly underrated site.

I was going to say over 70 but your area may be more stupid than mine.

I also don't drink, smoke (anything), sleep around, have a kid (I know 10 single mums and have seen a hell of alot more in town) or listen to music with an extremely obvious beat so all the clubbers can dance to it.

So to sum it up, no, I have very little in common with this generation ... or any generation.
