I have to admit: I really like the little toaster. Maybe it's because I got mine three months ago and am currently enjoying all the games I wanted to play on the console (6-7).
Yeah. Parents bought it for my kid sister and I, when I already had a 360...
It just sits in the backroom as a "hey, have you seen this thing yet?" for guests... and the only two games worth playing on it are fucking ports from PS2.
I think it's an OK system so far. It's got potential, but nobody seems to want to harness it. While there's a lot of crap out for it, the good games are really, really good.
I can't say I'm disappointed, Mario Galaxy, SSBB and No More Heroes was worth it. Plus I'm looking into Deadly Creatures and Madworld. But then again I have an Xbox 360 to compliment it, had I only owned a Wii I can imagine I would have been pretty frustrated.
I love the little guy, but I need to get another one.
I traded my first for a 360 while attempting to own all three consoles (just need my little white box back).
Have to say, even though it didn't have many games I really had fun playing it.
I look at my Wii like I look at my fridge. I open it once, looking for something good, walk around, then look again, hoping that something good magically appears.
I feel the same way about my way that I do about my illegitimate ginger child. I act like I love it, and deep down inside I WANT to love it, but that little shit just makes me sick to think about.
I've recently found that there are some truly good games on the Wii that are about 6-8 hours long with some 'ok' replayability. Perfect weekend and weekday renters.
Before that I simply just played SSBB. Now I'm playing tons of games I wouldn't have before.
