For example whenever I shower I always do it in the dark no window or light on and I just find my showers way more relaxing.

I also shave in the dark while in the shower and I don't use shaving cream.

Whats some weird quirks you do when getting all clean?

I wash my hands afterwards.

"After what?" you might be wondering. Well, you name it, I wash my hands afterwards.

I always wash my hands before handling my musical instruments, or my Nintendo 3DS. ALWAYS. It's not all that weird, I'll admit, but I know it's not really necessary most of the time.

Is it weird to always washed my hands for any food no matter what it is?

One of the things I hate the most is getting stomach related illness so I pretty much became paranoid when it come to food hygine. Heck I even wash my hands again from getting a wrapped ice cream out of the fridge since sometime the ice cream is next to the frozen meat!

It seen somewhat paranoid at time but it does paid off since one time my mate told me he had the stomach flu because he forgit to wash his hands when he took out some frozen chicken! Come on that is like the first few things you learn about food hygine in cooking class!

I forget all the time tbh xD granted i'm always cooking for myself. Even if i'm cooking for someone else I just use rubbing alcohol on my hands.

I hate the wash hand feeling.

I'm ridiculously paranoid about raw meat. Making a bacon sarnie involves several hand washing sessions.

Dunno if it counts, but when I switch discs in my xbox I move my hand around the tray so that I can feel for any hairs that I might not have seen.

I brush my teeth until my gums bleed. If I don't bleed, I haven't brushed them enough.

I am also crazy prepared for washing my hands during cooking.

Surely you only handle the uncooked bacon once? I'm the same about raw meat (also, the texture of raw chicken, ewwww), but cooked is cooked.
I have to flip it over on the grill, and if I do it with a spatula, it always just slips under the grill.

Whenever there is hand wash around, I use it. If I walk through a hospital I could wash my hands every three feet. That and I'm a little paranoid about my breath

Right after I blow my nose, I feel really uncomfortable until I stick tissue up there to get any leftovers.

I've gotten into the habit of washing my hands thoroughly before and after going to the restroom, which from what I've witness is definitely not the norm. I work in a chemistry lab so I guess I picked it up from there. Still it just makes a lot of sense to me.

I work in a kitchen, and I've developed the habit of washing my hands all the time. Even if I'm just touching the cupboard handles in my own kitchen, I wash my hands before I touch the vegs again. I'm also very particular about storing and using nuts when I'm at home, always using separate tools for them and washing everything that's been "nutified", as it were.

It's probably a good habit to get in to, overall. Nut allergies can be very devious.

Speaking of allergies, while keeping your hands clean is a good idea overall and your responsibility if you handle food for a living, there is going to be a huge spike in allergies in the coming years. People are rubbing their children's hands with alcohol about every half hour, it seems. Always felt that it's a bit overdone. Soap and water will do nicely, and children don't usually cook chicken, do they?

All of you hand-washers would hate being around me, because I only wash my hands after using the restroom or if they get really dirty from something I'm doing. I won't go near hand sanitizer either because I don't mind exposing myself to as many germs as possible so that my immune system is always in top shape. I also won't do flu shots. The only two times I've had the flu in the last 23 years were both within a week after getting a flu shot: once in 2000, again in 2006.

As for hygiene quirks, the only one that comes to mind is that I only take showers every other day (unless I'm doing strenuous exercise) and only wash my hair every four. It goes 2x shampoo on scalp, 1x conditioner on the rest. Next shower, I tie my hair up into a cap, use dry shampoo and leave-in conditioner after my shower, and then I'm fine for another two days.

You all think I'm a germ factory now, don't you? lol

I wash my hands whenever I'm in the restroom. Even if I don't have to go. I don't like the feeling of having sticky/greasy/sweaty hands. If I can feel that my hands are slimy, I can't focus on anything else.

Fucking 'A. I'm a bit surprised at how many people obsess over washing their hands so much. It's like they think the human body is some kind of fragile, delicate thing that'll break at the slightest inconvenience. I have to shower every day though. I find my hair just gets all greasy and horrible feeling (and looking) if I don't. Probably the only thing I miss about having it short.
