This one may be a long shot... but bear with me... I'm about to throw myself under the bus...

Does anyone else here have certain types of games that they will only play at certain time of the year? Perhaps weather or season oriented? Maybe just time of the year?

I personally play older games more than once (I also delve into the new stuff of course).

Maybe I'm insane (say so if I am), but here's a list of favorite games and times that I feel I can only play them in:

- The Elder Scroll III: Morrowind - Spring/Summer
- Any Quake Game - Fall
- Doom Games - Late Fall/Early Winter
- Half Life - Winter OR Summer only
- F.E.A.R. Games - Late Winter/Early Spring
- Any Blizzard Game - Summer

These are just examples... there are many more..... but seriously, they sometimes hinder my gaming experience. I feel that maybe I can't enjoy them if I don't play them at the right times of the year.

I think MAYBE it's because that's when I originally played them so it bring about a aesthetic feeling. Or maybe I feel like I can't enjoy them during certain times of the year, such as during a school semester. Being a college student, I sort of have a feeling that I can't get into certain games during Fall or Winter/Spring because school obligations may ruin the experience.

I think I'm nuts for this crap, but if you have similar feelings, let me know. And give any advice you feel is necessary.

'coz the Blizzard cools him in the summer. Saves on AirCo LOL

No I do not have this seasonal theme. Maybe I get influenced by movies. For excample if I watch a few Star Wars movies I might start playing Kotor 1 or 2 for a while...

Maybe because I played all their games during summer.

It seems like a way of reaching a time of my life years ago....Getting that feeling back when you first experienced it.

I see that there's a thread about a "Man-Teen" culture and I think it has a lot to do with that

Mario Sunshine, Farcry and Beach Life during the summer. Mainly because they're all set on beaches I'll never be able to see in real life.

I tend to play more arcade games during the summer, then adventure games during the winter. Playing Silent Hill when the sun is shining and everyone's in shorts doesn't seem right.
