It's the same as so many mediums, there's an awful lotta crap, but it's equally capable of producing some gems. Even technically weak stuff can be popular, and even go viral, I'm thinking the WOW 'internet is for porn' music video, and Red vs Blue is pretty much a foundation stone of the gaming internet.

What was the link, surely him linking to a video he made himself isn't advertising... merely self promotion, and while I don't want to see the site flooded with 'hey I made a thing' threads, I dont mind the odd bit here and there.
