i always do. asid from the pipe wrench sitting down between my seat and the door, the hunting knife in my center consol and the pocket knife i carry, IM at th wheel of the 2 ton ball of metal and glass, doing 110KPH down the highway [thats 68mph if your country is WRONG] if buddy pulls a knife or a gun, ill just floor it and aim for the ditch, or a lamppost. his side first

I have a pickup truck,so I just pull over and let them hop into the back. A ride's a ride so they never complain ad it's a simple matter of smacking their hand on top of the cab to let me know when to let them off. The real question for me is, would I dare to hitchhike now knowing what kind of psycho might pick me up and drive into a ditch... my side first.
