Do you play games as a means to deal with the death of someone you know?

My girlfriend just lost a distant cousin who she didn't really know that well. She wasn't too distraught over it but it made her think about other people that she had lost and other deaths that members of that family had experienced, and that made her kind of sad. I suggested that she should play Sims 3 (she doesn't play video games that much but really enjoys The Sims games) as a comforting activity. I've lost several people close to me over the years and I've found that playing video games was always a helpful process, just to distract myself from it and to provide a bit of joy during a tough time. I was wondering if anyone else finds video games comforting after the loss of a loved one or someone you know? If so, which games do you play? Is there a common game that you play or is it whatever happens to be out at the time? I've personally found WoW to be really helpful but I've also played other games like Jedi Outcast and more recently Dino D-Day (which is amazing and ridiculous).

No i play games for fun , i guess is possible but since i dont really have a problem accepting death i dont try to escape reality by distracting my self with other things. I accept the death of the person .

I remember when my granddad died. I was taken out of school and we went to the care home. Don't want to think about it, but I have now, so ah well.

Anyway, after that we went home. I cried again, and went on Team Fortress 2. It took my mind off it. I wasn't exactly enjoying myself, but it was something to do.

I'm quite lucky in that my granddad has been the only death of a loved one, excluding pets, that I've experienced. *touch wood touch wood touch wood touch wood touch wood,*
