Earlier there was a thread about dancing, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone ask if there are any singers out there.

So how about it: Can you carry a tune? Do you sound like Pavarotti or like a basket full of fucked cats when you belt a tune out?

Personally, I'm pretty good but my range is limited. Voice cracks on the high notes.

I can sing pretty well actually, problem is some of the lower notes can be hard for me, which is strange because I have a moderatley low voice.

I sing alone in my car, and no other time. Partly because I'm self-conscious, and partly to spare humanity the horror.

I sing a lot when alone. I also sing when I do artsy stuff.

I can sing very well, according to a few people, but I can be very self conscious about it. XD

Seriously though, God no.

My voice is too damn low (pitch wise) to effectively sing by my self.

I actually like to think I have a pretty nice singing voice, I tend to sing along to a lot of my favorite songs when I'm at home, and especially when I have people in the car with me who can only escape by flinging themselves out of a moving vehicle

call me an exhibitionist, but I like a captive audience.

pun most definitely intended

I can sing quite well in rythm and tune, but otherwise not significantly well.

I do sing. Often professionally, but in the context of musical theatre. Mostly contemporary musical theatre, since my voice sounds better in pop and rock than it does in classical musical theatre.

I sing when no one's around. That's the only time I can hit all the same notes Amy Lee does...

o_o I mean...

I hate to sound like some kind of self-centred douchebag but I actually consider myself a pretty good singer. My whole life I've just sung whenever I might be bored or I'm sitting at the computer...*I've been working on a cocktail*...

And I've performed with bands, in choirs and even in musicals. In fact last year I got the lead role in our high schools musical (It was Oliver!) and so they signed me up for some singing lessons the school was running. And the guy who taught is now the lead singer in a band called Stone Parade, he was really good and I learnt alot from him.

Pretty much everyone I know has told me I sing quite well. I've never actually sang in front of an audience before, mostly because I'm too chicken to do so... This coming from someone who is a theatre nerd and had been onstage longer than she can remember.

Yeah I sing in a choir and I used to sing vocals in a band till we broke up. I can sing bass or tenor but I prefer tenor because of fun melodic lines xD

When I'm alone or when I get carried away. Apparently I'm alright, but I'd never have the confidence to actually try and go anywhere with it.
