Do you think Microsoft is coming out with a new gaming system 2012? Bye bye 360?

I just got an email from Dell saying that if you buy a computer you get a free XBOX... I don't keep up too much with how much profit the whole XBOX empire is making, but I doubt they're so broke over at Microsoft to just shut down and give the system away, months after releasing the Kinect. So, what do you guys think? XBOX 1337 for 2012?

There had been some rumors that a new console might get a reveal at E3 this year. That said, they're just rumors, and kind of run contrary to what Microsoft had previously said, which was that Kinect would extend the console's life another 5 years.

So, it's not impossible, but I'm really hoping it's improbable. I don't want to have to buy a new system right now.

Oh, if there is a new microsoft console I really hope they name it Xbox 1337.
I thought the Kinect and Move were attempts to extend the consoles lifetime, so they wouldn't have to try and crank out another expensive new console just yet, I would say there is definately a new console in the works, but maybe not as soon as 2012

I don't think this deal is any indication of a new console in the immediately future. I would sooner think that this is a ploy by Microsoft to convince all the new high school graduates looking for their college laptop to go with a Windows 7 laptop over a Mac. Any money lost from the bundling could then be made up by selling software for either the computer or the console.

If anything is going down console-wise at E3, it's probably a price drop. There have been a lot of deals on 360s (and PS3s) lately.

That'd be stupid, right after Kinnect, and annoying as it'd push Sony into making PS4 and I can't afford that :/
