By old, i don't mean late 20th, or mid 20th century stuff or even some of the latter part of the early 20th century stuff like the 1930s. I'm talking about late 1800s, early 1900s films. Perhaps stuff from 1880s to 1910s. I find that era so fascinating, because you always hear people talking about the 20s, 30s, 40s, and see stuff from those times. But the whole period from 1880 to 1910s when cars were still none existent, and video camera were just being invented is interesting. I like looking at those videos because they give you eyes into a whole other world that todays people have never experienced. It's crazy watching a video of New York from 1906 with horses walking around, when New York today looks nothing like that...

The only film I've seen that could be from around that time is a short slapstick comedy film called something like "The Miller and the Sweep".

Basically a miller and a chimney sweep bump into each other outside a windmill and get into a fight...then they get chased by a group of people for no reason.

Funny, but not particularly fascinating.

I've never heard of movies being made that early, my only recollection of early movies are silent films with Charlie Chaplin and Clara Bow.

Of course I like them, although I haven't seen many nor am I a film nerd sadly, but yeah I've seen Nosferatu and enjoyed it, also saw the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, which was great too I really liked Dracula with Bela Lugosi, but as I've said I haven't seen many although I did see Edison Studio's Frankenstein (I think that one is from 1910 but I am not sure), Oh yeah last week I saw Chaplin's The great Dictator, and I think that's about it, I think I have not seen any other movies from those eras but if you have any recommendations I am open to any suggestions you might have.

I like certain silent movies. Charlie Chaplin, of course. Not to mention the original Phantom of the Opera. There's probably others that I'm not thinking of, but I have some appreciation for the time, yeah.

EDIT: Oh! Nosferatu! Yeah, that one too! Thanks, above-me-guy! Good old Max Shreck!
