Does anyone else think Bulletstorm is going to be the best thing since bacon?

I can't stop playing the demo. I've played through it about 20 bazillion times now and I'm still finding new ways to fuck fools up and get even more points. Anybody else feel this way?

The demo was good, even though it had some stupid NPC's getting stuck in places..

But the next big thing... Nope, don't see it beeing that good, definitly worth buying but its not gonna revolutionize anything..

It will be a helluva lot better than anything that's out now. Plus if it came with bacon that would be cool.

Hell to the no.

A mediocre shooter with a gimmick that got boring halfway through the second playthrough of the demo? No thanks.

I can understand liking it if you're a points whore though (and I mean that in the best possible way).

Bulletstorm is gonna be awesome, but nothing is better than bacon. Nothing.

The comment about finding new ways to earn more points had nothing to do with points. I meant it as a compliment to the game's attention to killing people in the craziest ways possible. But I see how you could misunderstand it.

I know that, but I seriously think it's gonna be the best thing since bacon. Only a fool would say something is better than bacon.

No. here's [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.261215-PC-Bulletstorm-requires-constant-Internet-Connection] why.

Stuff like this needs to be banned by the gaming community, regardless of your platform preference.

It might get kinda boring. I would have liked a miniboss in the demo. I would need to see how good the reviews are.

The demo sucked. I can just see me (IF I play the game) doing almost the same things over. It's not as creative as it lets on nor is it as creative as it SHOULD be. Sure there's different environments and more weapons than what we saw in the demo but I think that once you beat the game, you won't replay it and the multiplayer isn't as competitive or cooperative as I think it should be.

Already working on a cover in Photoshop, using the Bulletstorm cover and bacon pictures. It's gonna be amazing.

Aw what the hell?! That is amazingly lame. It almost stops me from getting it. Almost. But it does reduce it's awesomeness.

So no. I didn't love the demo as much as I thought I would either, but I still played it twice which is more than most demos. Still a thumbs up, still gonna be a veeeery fun stress reliever.

This game is really in the Love it/Hate it crowd. You either love the kill combos system and how it challenges you to get the craziest combos possible, or you see it as a dull, repetitive, gimmicky shooter that wont last.

In all fairness, the demo only had one level, and the point of the demo was to replay that one level over and over to figure out the best runs. The whole game has a lot more variety and I think it'll hold up much better than the demo does. I've played it at least a hundred times and still love it, but I can see people who would only play it once or twice and get bored.

I have a feeling this game will get a cult following, but wont really smash any sales records, which is a shame, since everything I've experienced with it has been really creative and cool ideas. My only complaint has been the fact that Epic tried to turn it into a Gears of War lookalike, and that they've taken the swearing from funny, to outright childlike and embarrasing. Kind of ironic considering this game requires a lot more thought and tactics than any other big name shooter out right now, yet its being marketed to the most braindead market (either potty mouthed 12 year olds, or drunken college frat boys, take your pick) in the game industry.

All that considered, I'm glad I preordered it, and regardless of what other people think, I have a feeling I'm going to be playing this game for a long time...

whats wierd about the demo is that you have to play it more and more to get more fun out of it. I didnt like it until about my 5th playthrough, which is where I discovered most of the killshots. Its when you learn those extra skillshots that you start to really beast the demo and rack up the high scores.

I dont they did a good idea with the demo, it seems to be turning away more people than its attracting. They should've done the Anarchy mode as a demo, and given 2 or 3 maps for it. That would've been much cooler and have much more replay value. As a demo for a game thats supposed to be super varied and creative, they could have at least given us 2 or 3 maps to run through. That would've given people 2 or 3 playthroughs, which would be enough for them to discover several skillshots, and then be tempted to go back and try to top their last score.

I think it's going to be awesome, but if it really does require a persistent internet connection to play on the only platform that matters for shooters, there could be issues.

Not going to be getting, after pulling a guy towards me for the 10th time and kicking him away again for the 10th time, then shooting him as he flew away for the 10th time it got very boring very quickly.

I used the secondary fire on the handgun and machine gun but there wasn't enough ammo in either. I got the odd "kicked them into the spikes on the wall" kill but I was really struggling to get anything that great.

To me, it's an FPS with a gimmick.
