tried to start a music label With a heavy metal band called D-Rok?

Remember buying the album in the nineties and being a bit disappointed - the above three were the only tracks I outright liked without at least a little quibbling, but revisiting it now, finding I'm enjoying much more than I did then, but the above three are still my faves

There was that album put out by death metal band Bolt Thrower, Realm of Chaos [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realm_of_Chaos_(album)], too.

I swear has Warhammer been this discussed often in the internet? I must have missed out on the rage threads when Age of Sigmar just came out.

I remember when GW tried to have a moderately priced well balanced and robust table top war game.

Oh...wait...

Yes. There was also a band called Wraith that they tried to promote, but none of that was really my thing.

I felt that Bolt Thrower only really came into their own with the IVth Crusade album. The earlier albums are interesting curios, but not things I'd really listen to otherwise. Met Karl Willets backstage at their gig in Tufnell Park Dome on their IVth Crusade tour, and his response when I mentioned them was something along the lines of "Ha! Games Jerkshop!" , they apparently wanted to advertise all their games etc in the inserts of their album. He actually liked their stuff, but thought they were dicks. How things change eh? ...eh?... *sigh*

I was going to mention that, as I still have the gatefold vinyl tucked away somewhere. Ah, them's were the days [of terrible personal musical taste].

...apropos Games Workshop: does anyone else here remember Necromunda fondly? Of all the games in their 40K/Warhammer heyday, that was surely the most cannily designed and packaged. I've wanted a videogame adaptation of it since--- well, forever, frankly. Its blend of squad based urban/Hive combat and persistent gang members with class types would lend itself perfectly to a modern shooter - or, ideally, even an XCOM turn-based strategy game.

As awesome as the thought is, however, videogames bearing the names of GW IP's rarely ever turn out to not be shite... so the daydream of a Necromunda reskin of XCOM should probably stay a daydream.

Yup...and the models make decent guard, got some before they stopped selling them. Should have got more, though.

Similarly, Mordheim, some of the models still exist in the Skaven or Empire...no, wait, Free Peoples and Chaos ranges.
