My metabolism is average. I'm slightly overweight, but not that bad. It's gotten better now that I don't eat as much and exercise more.

In fact if people know some tips on how to gain weight they would be very apprechiated.
Eat constantly and lift weights. Seriously, when you can't have another bite, take a sip and vice versa.

I would say that its probably the age group of the users. Younger people have faster metabolisms.

That being said I stay lean without trying so I guess mines fast.
Age is definitely a factor. From what I've heard, people with extremely fast metabolisms often tend to have the larger changes in metabolism with age.

I know my dad was severely underweight until he hit his 30's, and especially his 40s's he became overweight. I'm personally putting off the whole "work out and build muscle" thing until my weight starts to change on its own.

I've always been told I have a fast metabolism because I usually eat all sorts of horrible foods in large quantities, yet I remain relatively skinny with only a little bit of a fat layer on my stomach. At one point I was eating at least two QuadStackers from Burger King a week yet there was no dratic change in weight. Granted I was playing baseball during that time but honestly how much do you really run when playing baseball maybe a sprint down to first base every at-bat 3 innings apart. So yeah I guess I have a fast metabolism, my friend is waiting for the day when it drops drastically and I balloon up.

aww hell no, I'm a bit overweight because I'm a guy that loves food (real food, not junk) and beer but unfortunately I hate exercise.

But I'm Canadian Fat, which is a happy, middling fat.

My metabolism is very high. I'm not an incredibly unhealthy eater, but I also exercise very little, yet I still maintain a decent figure (well, I'm skinny anyways). I'm hoping it will stick with me through college, since I don't really plan on doing anymore exercise or eating any healthier in a dorm room than I do at home.

I'm always in an endless struggle with my metabolism. I always have to work hard to make up for my low metabolism. Stupid body fat.

I'd say I have a pretty high metabolism considering that while I do exercise, my diet is...well pretty bad since it mostly consists of carbs and fat, yet I am still lean.

I do love my high metabolism though :D
*Imagines Julian doing exercise*... Put the damn dress on -.-

When I was younger, my metabolism was crazy. I started to get a bit tubby so I've started exercising and whatnot.

Hey, stop fantasising about me working out in a dress.

I don't appreciate it.

Think of me all you want exercising and doing yoga in my small athletic shorts and all sweaty and whatnot, but in a dress??

No, sir. I say neigh.

Damn it, it's so tempting...

OK! FINE! The dress was so I wouldn't feel ashamed of my gay feelings *cries*.

So yeah... *imagines Julian doing yoga in small shorts*

Hey, stop that!

Don't ever be ashamed of your bi-curiosity.

If you want to imagine me doing yoga in shorts, by all means do it.

Just not in a dress. It's not proper yoga attire. :D

My Metabolism used to be very fast but it has slowed down somewhat.

How can I tell?

*looks at gut*

That wasn't there two years ago. I'm not eating any differently but I'm finally gaining weight...
